GitHub Copilot in VS Code is activly deciding to do other things than I ask - how to prevent

the last two days I have had the frustrating experience with

1. writing a specific set of requirements
2. getting the help of copilot to code scripts, reporting back and saying it solved my requirements.
3. running the scripts realizing the output is not at all what I asked for
4. asking copilot in the chat what it delivered
5. geting the replay from copilot that it decided that the requirements I asked for was not what I actually wanted so it changed them and did something different
6. asking why it did this and if it please could deliver upon my requirements
7. getting the reply that "it is a systematic problem with how I work. I am expected to understrand when I know better what you want than what you are expressing to me".

is there any way to actually get copilot to do what you ask it do do and not change the requirements? I have tried to write briefs, I have tried to write explicit orders, I have tried to prompt it saying "do not change my requirements, do what I actually ask you to do".
