[BUG] (Enter your description here) Can't update WinGet with Uniget #5444
Description
Please confirm these before moving forward
- I have searched for my issue and have not found a work-in-progress/duplicate/resolved issue.
- I have tested that this issue has not been fixed in the latest (beta or stable) release.
- I have checked the FAQ section for solutions.
- This issue is about a bug (if it is not, please use the correct template).

UniGet will not update WinGet, despite multiple attempts.
Steps to reproduce the issue
Just invoke UniGet and when it finds update for UnigGet it doesn;t work

Hi DougO909,
The logs you attached only cover package listing, so they don't show why the update failed. Could you open the Operation history page, click the failed update, and paste the Operation log ?
Also, which package is it exactly? Your log shows three update attempts —
Microsoft.GameInputandMicrosoft.VisualStudioCodevia WinGet, andMicrosoft.WinGet.Clientvia PowerShell 7."WinGet" in the title could mean any of them, and the causes are different. If it's

Oddly, i did a version history check in Power shell and it is already updated to the newest version, but Uniget doesn;t recognize it...?

Thanks, that explains it.
This is an issue with PowerShell that has already been fixed, but the fix hasn't been released yet. (#5391 )
I'll close this issue for now. The fix will be included in the next release.
