Adds an isolated filesystem prototype for comparing Windows NTFS bulk MFT acquisition with ordinary enumeration and Get-ChildItem. It reconstructs metadata and hardlink paths, provides C# inventory and folder totals, and exposes a thin experimental Get-FileSystemItem command. Auto keeps normal enumeration; the MFT backend requires explicit selection and elevated read-only access.
The benchmark separates fresh index acquisition, C# scanning, C# folder totals and PowerShell output. The plan and results retain failed samples, explain the guarded physical-partition read route, and document visibility, freshness, timestamp, memory and allocation limits. The prototype is excluded from the normal solution and cannot be packed or published; the shipped module is unchanged.
Validation:
This remains a draft for evaluation. Production integration and transparent Get-ChildItem compatibility require the open decisions and qualification work in Prototypes/FileSystem/PLAN.md.
