bug(claude): a timed-out image delivery still strands pills and text in the native composer #1359
What happens: a Claude delivery with image attachments whose image absorption times out leaves the prompt text and whatever image pills rendered in Claude's native composer (promptDelivery.ts: "Deliberately NOT rolled back"). Claude's gate then reads the composer as a human draft, and every later delivery is refused, the same lock-out as #1350.
Why #1358 does not reclaim it: reclaiming means Ctrl+U presses until the composer reads empty. Whether Ctrl+U removes an image pill, and how the composer classifier reads a pill-only composer, has not been observed on a real composer. A reclaim could strip the text and leave pills (a mangled draft), or misread the result. #1358 therefore never marks an image delivery.
Evidence available:testing/fixtures/image-absorption/wrapped-image-pill-2026-09-21.json has 2 real deliveries, one a prior absorption timeout with a wrapped pill. No recorded #1350 incident involved images.
Next step: record, on a real Claude composer, what Ctrl+U and Ctrl+Y do to one or several pills (text before and after them, and a wrapped pill). Decide from that whether image strands can be reclaimed, or need a different clear.
