Is your feature request related to a problem? If so, Please describe.
With the DIVE interface being used by our readers as a way to read videos alongside annotations as a "human-in-the-loop" method, our readers need to have a consistent and user-friendly way of having access to our entire species list when conducting these reads.
Describe the solution you'd like
Ability to pre-load updated species lists would be useful. Linking to external databases e.g. WORMS or database of preference would be a bonus
There is a way to prepopulate the species list by adding into the config JSON a list of possible species: https://kitware.github.io/dive/UI-Type-List/#ad-hoc-mode
Hitting the Add Types from that in the UI allows you populate a list of types
I remember you mentioning bringing in the list of possible species into the config JSON but once we're up and running on the servers, we'll need a way to do this on the web. And in a way that our readers won't have to do this every single time they fire up a video.

Adding some information for myself in here:
https://www.marinespecies.org/
Looks like is has a REST API to get data from:
https://www.marinespecies.org/rest/
I'll need to look into the REST API and see if I can get a list of the species.
