Hi! 馃憢 HIDMaestro author here (Hifihedgehog).
Just spotted HIDMaestro in libvirtualhid's related-work list. Thank you for the mention and the accurate writeup. Always nice to see another user-mode virtual-HID effort in the Windows space.
No ask at all, just a friendly hello. If it's ever useful, I'm happy to compare notes on the UMDF2 / WUDF side: the descriptor-synthesis quirks, HID string-ID behavior under MsHidUmdf, the device-node/PnP dance for clean enumeration across XInput/WGI/DirectInput, that kind of thing. There were a few sharp edges that took a while to map.
Good luck with libvirtualhid, and feel free to ping me on the HIDMaestro repo (https://github.com/hifihedgehog/HIDMaestro) anytime. 馃檹
