…v/shm for online EPLB perf runs Online EPLB stages every MoE layer's expert weights in POSIX shared memory on each node. Segments were created sparse, so when /dev/shm was too small the workers died with SIGBUS during the expert copy instead of reporting an error. Reserve each segment with posix_fallocate and raise a RuntimeError with the required and free sizes when the tmpfs is full. The perf-sanity launchers now mount tmpfs:/dev/shm:size=640G when a config enables online EPLB; Kimi-K2.5 NVFP4 needs about 532 GiB per node, more than the 480 GiB default on GB300. Resolve the Bandit failure on the /dev/shm diagnostic.
Release Checks fails because Bandit B108 flags os.statvfs("/dev/shm"). This line blocks the pre-commit check. If the fixed POSIX shared-memory mount is intentional, add a narrowly scoped # nosec B108 with that reason, or use a repository-approved equivalent.

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win
Gate the backing assertion on reservation support.
If posix_fallocate returns EOPNOTSUPP, _create_reserved_shared_memory intentionally returns a sparse segment. This assertion then fails on a supported fallback path. Skip the backing test when reservation is unsupported; keep the separate sparse-fallback test. As per path instructions, flag test reliability problems caused by “external-state dependence.” (man7.org)

Fixes https://nvbugs/6384589: GEN workers of the Kimi-K2.5 NVFP4
eplb416disaggregated perf cases die withSIGBUS(BUS_ADRERR, "Non-existent physical address") at ~90% of weight loading, on every local rank of every GEN node. This had been triaged as a node hardware fault; it is not.Root cause. Online EPLB (
moe_config.load_balancer.layer_updates_per_iter > 0) keeps a host copy of every MoE layer's expert weights in POSIX shared memory, once per node. For Kimi-K2.5 NVFP4 that is 24,772,864 B x 384 experts x 60 MoE layers = 531.6 GiB per node. In the perf-sanity containers/dev/shmis the host tmpfs default, half of RAM = 480 GiB on a GB300 node, and neither perf launcher mounts a larger one.HostMoeTensorSharer.finalize_layer_weightscreates each per-layer segment withSharedMemory(create=True), which onlyftruncate()s a sparse file, so nothing fails at creation; the kernel raisesSIGBUSonce the expert copy touches a page the tmpfs cannot allocate (54 of 60 layers fit). Other online-EPLB models in the perf lists stay under 480 GiB (GLM-5 NVFP4 379.7 GiB, DeepSeek-V3.2 / R1 FP4 304.5 GiB), which is why only the K2.5 cases fail. tensorrt_llm/_torch/moe/fused_moe/moe_load_balancer.py: EPLB segments are created through_create_reserved_shared_memory, which reserves the whole segment withposix_fallocate. When the tmpfs is full (ENOSPC/ENOMEM) the segment is removed and aRuntimeErrorreports the segment name, the required/free/total GiB and how to enlarge/dev/shm. The reservation is atomic, so the local ranks that fill the same tmpfs in lockstep cannot over-commit it between a check and the copy.
