Toolchain update: Node.js 24 #11

Closed

Description

@github-actions

@Nawid3333 Node.js 24 is available (newest LTS is 24; CI/.nvmrc use 22).

To move: set node-version: 24 in every workflow and 24 in .nvmrc, run pnpm run verify on Node 24, and merge through a PR (merging releases). Node only builds and tests the extension; nothing changes for users.

This issue closes on its own once the project uses Node.js 24 or newer.

    Node 24 is skipped on purpose: CI goes from 22 straight to 26.

    Since #60:

    • .nvmrc names the Node major for every workflow.
    • The weekly Toolchain updates run opens a PR that changes it once Node 26 is LTS, in late October. You merge that PR.

    Early look, 2026-09-29: CI passed on Node 26.10.0, covering lint, 618 unit tests, the build, and every e2e suite on Linux and Windows (run).

    #60 closed this issue, because that PR replaces it.
