Closes the text family of #10821. First family of the object-model "honest tags" lane.

What changes

A value the runtime hands back used to be a small registry integer wearing POINTER_TAG, so its identity was its registry id rather than its object identity. TextEncoder is the extreme case — stateless, one sentinel id, so every encoder in a program was literally the same value.

TextEncoder / TextDecoder instances are now ordinary objects: GC_TYPE_OBJECT with a real ShapeId, a family class id (0xFFFF_2407/8, next to AbortController/Event/EventTarget in the web-builtin block) and a per-family prototype. Identical in kind to an object TypeScript itself creates — which is the point, because then the whole object surface matches node with no per-kind arm anywhere.

Note this is not the fix the issue text proposes (a GC_TYPE_NATIVE_HANDLE cell). A cell is an honest pointer but still a different kind, so a property read would still leave the single read path for a family dispatch table, instanceof would stay special-cased, and Object.keys / JSON.stringify would each need a per-kind arm. Going straight to ordinary objects is cheaper per instance (arena bump vs. gc_malloc + registry insert), needs the same zero compiler changes, and the per-family work it replaces is wiring a dispatch table that the ordinary representation deletes.

  • decode / encode / encodeInto are real methods on the prototype; encoding / fatal / ignoreBOM are real accessors. Ordinary prototype lookup finds them. Each thunk takes its receiver from js_implicit_this_get() and brand-checks the class id, so TextDecoder.prototype.decode.call({}) throws a TypeError like node's instead of silently decoding as utf-8 (temporal_proto_getter_thunk is the template).

  • The instance carries zero own keys, so Object.keys, getOwnPropertyNames, JSON.stringify, spread and Object.assign match node for free. State is reachable only through the prototype accessors. Storing it in instance fields instead is what makes perry's URL leak twelve internals as own enumerable keys (URL exposes its twelve components as own enumerable instance properties; node keeps them as accessors on URL.prototype (Object.keys, for...in, spread all diverge) #10823); this family must not repeat it, and the differential below is what proves it did not.

  • WebIDL interface members are { enumerable: true, configurable: true }. install_proto_method and the builtin getter installer hardcode enumerable: false (the ECMA-262 builtin shape, correct for their other callers), so the text family restates its own entries. node prints for-in d3: decode,encoding,fatal,ignoreBOM; so does perry now. Instance own keys are [] either way.

  • A decoder's entire state — which of the ~40 compile-time-fixed encodings, fatal, ignoreBOM — packs into one ObjectMeta word against a process-lifetime intern of distinct encodings (bounded by the fixed encoding set, never growing per decoder). DECODER_REGISTRY is deleted outright: it was a mutex-guarded map that grew one entry per new TextDecoder() and was never pruned. A leak and a lock leave the decode path with it. decode takes no options, so there is no streaming carry-over that could have forced an external allocation — which is also why this family owns nothing releasable and this PR adds no GC prune hook and no release test.

  • ObjectMeta.native_state is appended at the struct tail (emitted code addresses words of that record by index), both initializers are updated, and a new const assertion pins it as the last word so the next family cannot quietly insert one mid-struct.

  • Worker transfer: an ordinary object no longer hits the "GC kinds 13–16 are native handles" rejection, so serialize_nanbox_for_thread refuses the family by class id, beside the existing filehandle special case. Without it a postMessaged decoder would arrive as a plain {} with no native state — the silent shape [thread] Cross-heap unsoundness in perry/thread: global queue drains, timer queues, module globals — design decision needed #6185 made these surface a named error for.

  • e instanceof TextEncoder is true now — it was false, because the name mapped to no class id and folded to js_instanceof(_, 0). Two lines in the codegen class-id map fix that, the same two-line shape Event / EventTarget already have; the ordinary-object representation is what gives the name an id to map to.

No codegen change for the representation itself, and none at all on the hot path: these natives already return an i64 that codegen boxes with POINTER_TAG at one site, and returning the object address instead of an id is identical at the C ABI; a has_receiver native now gets the object pointer and one state load replaces the registry lookup. The only compiler edit in this PR is the two reserved instanceof class ids above.

Nothing is removed from the emitted code. The 21 icmp ugt <recv>, 1048575 small-handle guards and every addr_class band predicate stay exactly as they are. They come out only after the last family has moved.

One coupling this exposed, and why it is in the same PR

The family's whole surface now lives on its prototype, and that prototype is built by populate_builtin_prototype_methods under the global-text feature, which the auto-optimize rebuild turns on from the HIR. The detection matched only a quoted type name, while new TextDecoder() folds into an Expr::TextDecoderNew node that carries no quotes — so a program that constructs a decoder without ever naming the type in quotes linked a runtime with no text prototypes, and every d.decode / d.encoding read on it answered undefined. Nothing was feature-gated before, because the old surface came from text_handle_property, which was not.

crates/perry/tests/text_decoder_dynamic_surface.rs is exactly that program shape (new (globalThis as any).TextDecoder() and nothing else naming the type) and is what caught it; the detection now also matches the folded nodes. Worth knowing for the next family: whenever a family's surface moves onto a prototype, the feature that builds that prototype becomes load-bearing for that family.

Deleted by the representation, not replaced

  • the five crate::text::text_handle_property arms in field_get_set/{get_field_by_name.rs, get_field_by_name_tail.rs (×2), ic_miss.rs} — reads resolve on the prototype now. These are minimum deletions in files lanes 3 and 4 are also editing;
  • the decode/encode/encodeInto dispatch arm in object/native_call_method.rs — a fused dynamic call walks the prototype like any user class;
  • the two object/to_string_tag.rs arms — the brand comes from the Symbol.toStringTag on the prototype, found by the generic own/inherited walk;
  • DECODER_REGISTRY and its scripts/gc_runtime_root_holders.json inventory entry (the gate flags a stale exemption, which is how it stays a gate).

Verification

Differential vs node 26.8.1 — a 48-line probe (Object.keys, getOwnPropertyNames, JSON.stringify bare/wrapped/spread, for...in, instanceof both ways and vs Object, prototype identity vs TextDecoder.prototype, getOwnPropertyDescriptor on the prototype, foreign-receiver getter and method TypeError, constructor.name, Map/Set/WeakMap, identity across a forced collection, a bad label's RangeError):

/root/honesttag/t4.ts, 48 lines, byte-identical to node (diff node_t4.txt out.txt exits 0). Every one of these is a line of that diff:

48 encoder proto shared: true

Lines 18/19 force a collection (200 000 allocations) between construction and use, so identity and state are proven to survive a move, not just to be right at birth.

A second probe covers the type-erased surface the deleted text_handle_property used to serve — dd.encoding / dd.fatal / dd.ignoreBOM, typeof dd.decode, dd.decode(bytes), dd.decode.bind(dd)(bytes), ee.encode(s), Object.keys(dd).length, JSON.stringify(dd), "encoding" in dd, "decode" in dd — all match node. Its one divergence is Object.getOwnPropertyNames(TextDecoder.prototype), where perry also lists the Object.prototype method set (hasOwnProperty, isPrototypeOf, __defineGetter__, …). That is pre-existing and shared by every web-builtin prototype (each arm of populate_builtin_prototype_methods calls install_noop_proto_methods(proto_obj, OBJECT_PROTO_METHODS)), untouched by this PR and worth its own issue.

The probe is fail-capable in both directions: on the v0.5.1618 baseline 19 of its lines differ from node and it aborts at line 39.

Two gates for "is any old-representation value still produced", neither sufficient alone:

  • Gate A — the family's arm of receiver_repr_family_fixtures_move_constructed_and_observed_old is inverted from "observed_old moves" to "observed_old stays 0". Valid only from the fixture, which calls the instrumented funnels by hand; a compiled program's counter proves nothing here, because a statically lowered d.encoding (codegen's Expr::TextDecoderEncoding) never reaches a funnel and the counter read 0 before the migration too.
  • Gate B — a producer-side assertion that the constructor's result is not in the handle band (text_instances_are_ordinary_objects_with_no_own_keys). That is what covers the statically lowered reads gate A cannot see.

Re-baselined tests (a family migration that produces none of these should be treated as suspicious, not clean):

  • hot_diag::receiver_repr::tests::receiver_repr_family_fixtures_move_constructed_and_observed_old — gate A. Asserted observed_old text > 0 (a text receiver reaching an instrumented funnel was a band id); now asserts constructed > 0, the producer's result is not in the handle band, and observed_old == 0. It failed on this branch before the flip, which is the point: it fires precisely BECAUSE the family migrated.
  • gc::tests::handle_bound_method_name::a_bound_text_{decoder_decode,encoder_method}_never_captures_the_key_strings_interior — asserted is_known_text_decoder_id(id) on the constructor's result and that the read reified a BOUND closure whose captured name pointer was a 'static literal rather than the caller's key-string interior (js_class_method_bind still binds a movable heap string's interior in four places #7747 missed (timer handles, TextDecoder/TextEncoder) #8133/Fix a crash when reading a method off a Buffer without calling it #7747). The read now returns the prototype's own closure and binds nothing, so there is no captured key pointer to get wrong — the hazard is unwritable for this family. They now assert the stronger property: the read yields the REAL installed method (a placeholder or a miss fails), and the name it carries is the install-time string, not the caller's movable key interior.
  • object::tests::object_to_string_brands_the_text_encoder_sentinel → ..._brands_a_real_text_encoder. Asserted js_object_to_string(TEXT_ENCODER_SENTINEL_ID) == [object TextEncoder] (Web/runtime built-ins lack Symbol.toStringTag: Object.prototype.toString.call(new URLSearchParams()) is [object Object] (URL, Headers, Blob, Request, Response, FormData, TextEncoder, AbortController, Event, EventTarget…) #10555). There is no sentinel; it now brands a real encoder, and the answer comes from the Symbol.toStringTag on the prototype via the generic own/inherited walk instead of a hardcoded arm. Its sibling object_to_string_rejects_handle_band_ids is unchanged and still passes — the other families' bands are untouched.
  • the_encoding_intern_does_not_grow_per_decoder (new) also asserts the counter-direction — a newly named encoding adds exactly one row — so it cannot pass on an implementation that simply never grows.

Test runs:

  • cargo test --release -p perry-runtime --lib -- --test-threads=1 — 4103 passed, 0 failed, 6 ignored. (Mid-change it was 4099 passed / 3 failed: the three tests listed above, each naming the old representation.)
  • cargo test --release -p perry --test native_handle_identity — 3 passed. These encode the identity contract as BEHAVIOUR, not representation (distinct_text_handles_are_distinct_objects, the_same_text_handle_reached_twice_is_the_same_object, text_handle_surface_survives_the_representation_change), so they carried over from the earlier handle-cell prototype to this representation unchanged — which is why they were written that way.
  • cargo test --release -p perry --test text_decoder_dynamic_surface — 3 passed. This is the type-erased surface (new (globalThis as any).TextDecoder(), K.decode.bind(K)) and it is the test that caught the global-text coupling above.
  • New unit tests in text.rs: instances are ordinary objects with zero own keys and outside the handle band (gate B); two constructions are two objects; the state round-trips through the meta word; the encoding intern does not grow per decoder but does grow per new encoding; a foreign receiver is refused; and a method VALUE read resolves through js_object_get_field_ic_slow — the entry the emitted per-site inline cache actually misses into, which no by-name test would have covered.
  • Spot-check of the other integration tests that use this family — issue_9600_bun_cli_utilities (new TextDecoder().decode(zstdDecompressSync(...))) and response_stream_body_pull (new TextEncoder() into a stream) — both pass.
  • scripts/gc_runtime_root_holders.py — OK (it flagged the now-stale DECODER_REGISTRY exemption, which this PR deletes). scripts/addr_class_inventory.py — passed, unchanged counts for text.rs and to_string_tag.rs.

Not in this PR, on purpose

  • The resource→object root vector. Nothing in the text family ever re-derives an instance from an id — each construction makes one object and no lookup returns it again — so building it here would add a GC root holder with no live user and no test that can fail. It belongs to fetch, where response.headers must return the same object and the test can fail.
  • The GC prune hook. GC_TYPE_OBJECT carries GcFinalizeHookKind::None and hooks are per kind, so per-object release needs a new pre-sweep prune beside prune_dead_weak_holders. That is a collector change; bundling it with a representation change makes a bisect ambiguous. This family has nothing to release anyway (see DECODER_REGISTRY above).
  • Guard and filter removal (section 7 of the lane plan) — after the last family.

Next

AbortController / AbortSignal / Event / CustomEvent / DOMException / EventTarget are already ordinary objects with class ids but were never linked to their .prototype, so their methods live as instance fields; linking them is the same shape as this PR and is its own PR. Then timer, then fetch (which needs the root vector above).

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Bug Fixes
    • TextEncoder and TextDecoder instances now have distinct object identity, working correctly with ===, Map, Set, and WeakMap.
    • Improved standard object behavior, including typeof, instanceof, prototypes, property inspection, serialization, and object branding.
    • TextEncoder and TextDecoder methods and properties now resolve through their prototypes with proper receiver validation.
    • Fixed feature detection for dynamically accessed text APIs.
    • Native text objects now produce an appropriate error when passed across thread boundaries.

…ts (#10821)

A value the runtime hands back used to be a small registry integer wearing
`POINTER_TAG`, so its identity was its registry id rather than its object
identity. `TextEncoder` is the extreme case: it is stateless, so every instance
shared one sentinel id and every encoder in a program was literally the same
value. `new TextEncoder() === new TextEncoder()` was `true`, two encoders
collapsed into one `Map` / `Set` key, a `WeakMap` entry stored under one was
readable through an unrelated one, and `JSON.stringify` answered `null` where
node answers `{}`.

A text instance is now an ORDINARY object: `GC_TYPE_OBJECT` with a real ShapeId,
a family class id (`0xFFFF_2407/8`, next to AbortController/Event/EventTarget in
the web-builtin block) and a per-family prototype — identical in kind to an
object TypeScript itself creates. That is the point: the whole object surface
then matches node with no per-kind arm anywhere, because it is the same surface
every other object gets.

* `decode` / `encode` / `encodeInto` are real methods on the prototype and
  `encoding` / `fatal` / `ignoreBOM` are real accessors, found by ordinary
  prototype lookup. Each thunk takes its receiver from `js_implicit_this_get()`
  and brand-checks the class id, so `TextDecoder.prototype.decode.call({})`
  throws a `TypeError` like node's instead of silently decoding as utf-8.
* The instance carries ZERO own keys, so `Object.keys`, `getOwnPropertyNames`,
  `JSON.stringify`, spread and `Object.assign` match node for free. State is
  reachable only through the prototype accessors — storing it in instance fields
  is what makes perry's `URL` leak twelve internals as own enumerable keys
  (#10823), and this family must not repeat it.
* WebIDL interface members are `{ enumerable: true, configurable: true }`, which
  `install_proto_method` / the getter installer do not do (they record the
  ECMA-262 builtin shape, right for their other callers), so the text family
  restates its own entries. node's `for (k in d)` yields
  `decode,encoding,fatal,ignoreBOM`; so does perry's now.
* A decoder's entire state — which of the ~40 compile-time-fixed encodings,
  `fatal`, `ignoreBOM` — packs into one `ObjectMeta` word against a
  process-lifetime intern of distinct encodings. `DECODER_REGISTRY` is therefore
  DELETED: it was a mutex-guarded map that grew one entry per `new
  TextDecoder()` and was never pruned. A leak and a lock leave the decode path
  with it. `decode` takes no options, so there is no streaming state that could
  have forced an external allocation.
* `ObjectMeta.native_state` is appended at the struct TAIL — emitted code
  addresses words of that record by index — and a new const assertion pins it as
  the last word so the next family cannot quietly insert one mid-struct.
* Worker transfer: an ordinary object no longer hits the "kinds 13-16 are native
  handles" rejection, so `serialize_nanbox_for_thread` refuses the family by
  class id instead. Without it a `postMessage`d decoder would arrive as a plain
  `{}` with no native state — the silent shape #6185 made these surface a named
  error for.

No codegen change is needed for the representation itself: these natives already
return an `i64` that codegen boxes with `POINTER_TAG` at one site, returning the
object address instead of an id is identical at the C ABI, and the receiver of a
`has_receiver` native arrives as the object pointer where one state load
replaces the registry lookup. The one compiler edit is two lines of reserved
class ids so `e instanceof TextEncoder` can be true at all — the same two-line
shape `Event` / `EventTarget` already have. Before this, the name mapped to no
class id, so `instanceof` folded to `js_instanceof(_, 0)` == false where node
says true; the ordinary-object representation is what gives it an id to name.

The emitted small-handle guards and every `addr_class` band predicate stay
exactly as they are — they come out only after the last family has moved.

One more compiler-side consequence had to land with this. The family's whole
surface now lives on its prototype, and that prototype is built by
`populate_builtin_prototype_methods` under the `global-text` feature, which the
auto-optimize rebuild turns on from the HIR. That detection matched only a
QUOTED type name, while `new TextDecoder()` folds into an `Expr::TextDecoderNew`
node carrying no quotes — so a program that constructs a decoder without ever
naming the type in quotes linked a runtime with no text prototypes, and every
`d.decode` / `d.encoding` read on it answered `undefined`. Nothing was
feature-gated before, because the old surface came from `text_handle_property`,
which was not. The detection now also matches the folded nodes.
`crates/perry/tests/text_decoder_dynamic_surface.rs` is exactly that program
shape and is what caught it.

Deleted by the representation, not replaced: the five `text_handle_property`
arms in the three property-get funnels, the `decode`/`encode`/`encodeInto`
dispatch arm in `native_call_method.rs`, and the two `to_string_tag` arms (the
brand now comes from the `Symbol.toStringTag` on the prototype, found by the
generic walk).

Two gates say whether any old-representation value is still produced, and
neither is sufficient alone. Gate A: the family's arm of
`receiver_repr_family_fixtures_move_constructed_and_observed_old` is inverted
from "observed_old moves" to "observed_old stays 0" — valid only from the
fixture, which calls the funnels by hand; a compiled program's counter reads 0
either way because a statically lowered `d.encoding` never reaches an
instrumented funnel. Gate B: a producer-side assertion that the constructor's
result is not in the handle band, which covers exactly those statically lowered
reads.

Two existing tests named the old representation and are re-baselined, both
stated in the PR: the gate-A fixture above, and
`a_bound_text_decoder_decode_never_captures_the_key_strings_interior` (plus its
encoder sibling), which asserted the constructor returned a live registry id and
that the read reified a bound closure naming a `'static` literal. That read now
returns the prototype's own closure and binds nothing, so #8133's hazard is
unwritable for this family; the tests assert the stronger property that the
value is the real installed method whose name does not alias the caller's
movable key string.

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟠 Major | ⚡ Quick win

The text gate still misses a construction inside a class body.

hir_debug at Line 384 is built from hir_module.init and hir_module.functions only. Class methods, accessors, and field initializers live in hir_module.classes, which this scan does not include — the Math block at Line 426 documents exactly this split and builds class_hir_debug for it.

A program whose only new TextDecoder() sits in a class method therefore leaves uses_global_text false in an auto-optimized build. populate_builtin_prototype_methods then never builds TextDecoder.prototype, the instance has no prototype, and d.decode reads undefined — the same failure this change fixes for the top-level shape.

Scan the class bodies too.

🐛 Include class bodies in the text gate

         {
             ctx.uses_global_text = true;
         }

class_hir_debug is already in scope from Line 426.

…_mut_ptr

`scripts/raw_handle_debt.py` failed with
`text.rs: 3 raw-handle debt site(s) in a module with no ceiling`.

All three are in `alloc_text_object`, and all three are the same shape the
ratchet exists to ask for: the rooted instance's current address handed
straight to a callee. They become `with_mut_ptr::<ObjectHeader, _>` — the
prototype link, the `object_meta_ensure` call that stores the packed decoder
state, and the tail read that returns the address to the caller (the
`obj.with_mut_ptr(|obj| obj)` form already used at the end of
`node_stream_dispatch.rs`'s object allocator).

No ceiling added. A ceiling would not have been enough on its own anyway: the
recorded total is 912 against a baseline of 906, so the total rule fires as
soon as the per-module rule stops.

Touches only `text.rs` so it can be lifted onto #10831, which the same three
sites block.

Landed via merge train 248 (#10864), released as v0.5.1627 — merge commit 6768ed6bb2.

#10831 and #10836 rode together because #10836 is stacked on #10831 — its two commits are that PR's one plus one.

The train carries seven fixes beyond the two PRs. Six were gate blockers (raw-handle conversions in text.rs and timer.rs — converted, not ceiling'd, since #10836 added those sites; object/mod.rs and timer.rs splits for the 2000-line cap; the timer prototype slots pinned on the root-holder frontier; and rustfmt over five files). The seventh is the one worth reading.

The first sweep found a real regression

test_gap_6287_timer_batch_order went 3/3 PASS on main to 3/3 FAIL on the train — timers firing in creation order rather than deadline order.

The sort was not at fault. js_set_timeout_callback_args now calls timer_object(), and the first such call cost ~6 ms, so a fixture that deliberately creates timers in reverse-deadline order got t10 at T0+10 and t5 six milliseconds later at T0+11.

My first diagnosis of that was wrong, and the correction matters more than the fix. I attributed the 6 ms to timer prototype setup and proposed hoisting it to runtime init. The prototype install is ~45 µs. The 5.5 ms is the globalThis bootstrap, pulled in because install_proto_method's descriptor bookkeeping asks "is this receiver Object.prototype?" via resolve_prototype_addr, which answered by materializing the realm global. Hoisting would have moved that cost onto every program's startup, including timer-free ones that pay nothing today.

The fix answers without building the world: before the realm global exists no intrinsic prototype has been allocated, so 0 ("not resolved") is correct and already handled by every caller. Date.now() deltas between successive setTimeout calls go from 4–6,0,0,0 to 0–1,0,0,0 against node's 0,0,0,0.

And one that was not ours

test_gap_9592_child_timeout_threads failed identically on main: it spawns /bin/true, which is Linux-only. Filed as #10855; the fixture is platform-portable here and now passes.

Neither had been seen before because no merge train had ever swept the timer or timeout gap areas — the same reason #10851's Windows bug went unnoticed.

Validation

lint 6-of-6 with no unexpected failures, 9 unit suites with an empty failing set, three integration suites live and green, both compiler-output suites at failed_workloads=[], repsel_census rc=0, and a 150-fixture gap sweep with zero unexplained regressions.

Closing here rather than merging — a train lands the commits directly.

Every value `perry/tui` handed TypeScript was a small registry integer wearing
`POINTER_TAG` -- a number pretending to be a pointer. Three registries minted
those ids and three more kinds were plain constants, so SIX id spaces shared
one encoding and they collided:

    useApp()          -> 1     Text("hi")   -> 1     useRef(x), first  -> 1
    useStdout()       -> 2     Box()        -> 2     useRef(y), second -> 2
    useFocusManager() -> 3     Spacer()     -> 3
    state(0), first   -> 0     <- POINTER_TAG | 0, a null pointer wearing
                                  the pointer tag

`useApp() === Text("hi")` was `true`. A `Map` or `Set` keyed on two different
handles kept one entry. A `WeakMap` entry stored under a widget was readable
through the App handle. And the first `state(0)` of a program was a tagged
null -- the exact shape the honest-tag invariant exists to forbid. None of it
was reachable through a type error, because the encoding carries no provenance:
at run time the values are indistinguishable.

Each kind is now an ORDINARY object: `GC_TYPE_OBJECT` with a real ShapeId, a
class id from the web-builtin block (`0xFFFF_240B..0x2410`) and ZERO own keys.
`typeof` is `"object"`, `Object.keys` is `[]`, `JSON.stringify` is `{}` where
it was `null`, and two handles are two values.

* The registry ids are UNCHANGED and stay the module's internal currency. The
  widget tree, the Taffy layout pass, the paint pass and the hook slots all
  still speak ids; only the value crossing the `#[no_mangle]` boundary changed,
  through two helpers (`widget_object` out, `widget_id` in). A raw argument is
  not a GC root, so every consumer resolves at entry, before anything that can
  allocate and move it.
* `useApp()` / `useStdout()` / `useFocusManager()` answer the SAME object on
  every call -- ink's do, and perry's did too while they were constants -- so
  they are per-realm singletons in rooted slots rather than re-minted per call.
  That is the resource->object mapping at singleton scale.
* `useRef` is likewise stable across renders, so the HOOK SLOT owns its handle
  object. That makes it a GC pointer in a side table with two scanners over it;
  both now go through one `visit_hook_slot_roots` whose `match` destructures
  every field, so a forgotten edge is a compile error rather than a scavenge
  crash.
* `state.get()/.set()`, `ref.get()/.set()`, `app.exit()/.waitUntilExit()`,
  `stdout.write()/.columns()/.rows()` and `focusManager.focusNext()/
  .focusPrevious()/.focus(id)` are real methods on a per-kind prototype as well
  as the statically lowered `class_filter` rows they already were. Before this
  they existed ONLY as static lowerings, so a handle reached through an untyped
  value answered `undefined` for every one of them. The prototypes are lazy
  per-realm singletons built in the runtime (the timer family's shape), not
  `populate_builtin_prototype_methods` entries, so unlike #10831 there is no
  `global-*` feature to make load-bearing -- `perry/tui` has none.
* A foreign receiver is answered leniently with `undefined`, not thrown at.
  `perry/tui` is not WebIDL and has no node equivalent to copy a brand policy
  from, and this is the choice that cannot turn a working program into a
  throwing one. It is never READ as an id of the wrong kind: that is what the
  class-id brand prevents, and with six overlapping id spaces it had to.

Deleted by the representation: `tui::is_known_handle` and the three
`contains_handle` probes it unioned. They answered "is this integer one of our
registries' ids?" by taking three mutexes, and could not answer correctly
because the spaces overlap. A class-id load answers it with one load and no
ambiguity.

Also here, because the third family is where it stopped being avoidable: the
class ids move into `perry-runtime/src/native_class_ids.rs`. The
worker-transfer guard had grown into a range spelled
`TEXT_ENCODER_CLASS_ID..=IMMEDIATE_CLASS_ID` INSIDE `text.rs` -- a check about
every family living in one family's file, widened by hand per landing. The new
module owns the whole `0xFFFF_24xx` block, each family aliases its own id from
it, and a `const fn` assertion (not a `debug_assert`, which is free in release)
fails the BUILD if two families ever claim one id or if an id wanders toward
the `ShapeId` window -- #10824 was a shipped aliasing bug.

Gate A: the `tui` arm of
`receiver_repr_family_fixtures_move_constructed_and_observed_old` is inverted
from "observed_old moves" to "stays 0", and its `observe_pointer` arm is
deleted. Note what the pre-migration fixture had to do: retry when the
constructed handle came back 0, because the first `state(0)` was a tagged null.
Gate B: a producer-side assertion that each kind's constructor result is not in
the handle band, carries zero own keys and resolves back to its id -- which is
what covers the `class_filter`-lowered reads gate A cannot see.

Three tests named the old representation and are re-baselined, all stated in
the PR: `alloc_returns_sequential_handles` and
`state_slots_survive_a_foreign_clear` asserted the handle WAS the slot index
(`h0 == 0`, `h_next == h + 1`) and now assert that of the slot the handle
carries, and `out_of_range_handle_returns_undefined` is renamed for what it now
proves -- an arbitrary integer can no longer address a live slot at all.

The emitted small-handle guards and every `addr_class` band predicate stay
exactly as they are. They come out only after the last family has moved.

…ly; root-holder verdicts

The three tests compile and run real TS programs, which is the only way to
reach the statically lowered class_filter rows and the emitted IC-miss edge --
every by-name unit test in #10831 passed while the compiled program answered
undefined, and this family lowers even more of its surface statically.

The eight new GC root-holder entries take the RESEARCHED-verdict form
(covered_elsewhere + the scanner chain) rather than the frontier ratchet, and
the two Timeout/Immediate prototype slots move with them. The frontier means
ENUMERATED BUT SCANNED BY NOTHING; these are scanned by
object::scan_object_cache_roots_mut, so recording them as debt understated the
gate own coverage by ten holders.
