github-script v9, checkout v7.0.1, create-github-app-token v3.3.0, test-reporter v3.2.0, static-web-apps-deploy. The gemini and pr-agent workflows are now SHA-pinned.
MessagePack is pinned only for StreamJsonRpc, which Aspire.Hosting pulls into AppHost.
StreamJsonRpc 2.25.29 declares MessagePack >= 2.5.302 with no upper bound.
Aspire.Hosting uses StreamJsonRpc's JSON message format only.
A probe ran StreamJsonRpc 2.25.29 against MessagePack 3.1.12; round-trips passed with both the JSON and the MessagePack message formats.
The AppHost tests behave the same as on main.
We take 3.1.12 rather than 3.1.8, because 3.1.8 fails NuGet audit (GHSA-qhrr-8q5h-9q3h).
Verification
.NET:
CI=true Release build: 0 errors. The warnings are the same set as main.
A locked-mode restore passes.
Tests: 1,690 passed, 7 failed, 3 skipped. All 7 failures (6 AppHost health checks that need the full stack, plus one Windows ACL test) fail identically on unmodified main.
npm (all four apps):
npm audit reports 0 vulnerabilities.
npm run build passes, and tsc --noEmit is clean.
Scope: lint has 0 errors (only the warnings already on main), and prettier passes.
Tailwind: for every class used in the source, the built CSS was compared against main. Everything present before is present after, with renamed utilities checked value by value.
BetterAuth: the real node src/server.js ran against a throwaway Postgres. Checked:
health, routing to better-auth, and 404s
sign-up, sign-in and session cookies
the /exchange JWT, with its signature verified independently
CORS preflight
Not verified
No pages were checked in a real browser.
BetterAuth's real OAuth provider flows weren't exercised.
Tailwind 4's default palette is OKLCH, so colours shift slightly (for example, indigo-500 goes from #6366f1 to #625fff).
A few classes v3 never generated now render: border-current/20 in ShoppingCart, and the 12% Alert tint in Scope. That's arguably a fix, but it is visible.
.github/actions/npm-ci: check-latest: true, because the runner's cached Node 22.23.3 is below Astro 7.4.2's minimum (22.23.4).
CodeQL now runs nightly (and by hand) instead of on PRs and pushes. The /exchange rate-limit finding (alert Fix Scope visual interop bindings #3) is unchanged and stays open.
Updated the styling and appearance of the Panel, Scope, and Shopping Cart interfaces, including subtle adjustments to gradients, corners, and blur effects.
Confirmation prompts in the command-line tool now respond to cancellation while waiting for input.
Updated the web interfaces’ underlying presentation framework.

Walkthrough
This pull request updates dependencies and GitHub workflows, migrates three web projects to Tailwind CSS 4, changes BetterAuth request handling, makes CLI confirmations asynchronous, and renames a tracing constant.
Changes: Tailwind CSS 4 migration
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Project setup and migration wiring src/Dhadgar.Panel/*, src/Dhadgar.Scope/*, src/Dhadgar.ShoppingCart/*
The projects configure Tailwind through @tailwindcss/vite, update related dependencies and build inputs, remove PostCSS and Tailwind JavaScript configuration, and revise setup documentation.
CSS-first themes and utilities src/Dhadgar.Panel/src/styles/global.css, src/Dhadgar.Scope/src/styles/global.css, src/Dhadgar.ShoppingCart/src/styles/global.css
The stylesheets use Tailwind CSS 4 imports, theme declarations, base styles, and utility declarations.
BetterAuth updates dependency ranges and environment loading. JSON parsing is limited to the exchange-token route, and the catch-all wildcard and listen callback change.

Merge Risk: Low · previous review 4759e
This PR bumps dependencies and migrates three front ends to Tailwind 4. It renames a public tracing constant class that external consumers of the shared library could still reference. Consider keeping an obsolete alias or documenting the break. Some existing workflow supply-chain gaps remain and are worth following up, but this change does not make them worse. No merge-blocking defect was established.

• Consolidates GitHub Actions, npm, and NuGet upgrades while retaining MassTransit 8.x.
• Migrates Panel and ShoppingCart to React 19 and Tailwind 4; updates BetterAuth for Express 5.
• Refreshes .NET lockfiles and adapts CLI prompts and tracing names to upgraded packages.
The following are alternative approaches to this PR:
1. Split independent upgrade areas
➕ Isolates regressions and makes major-version migrations easier to review and revert.
➖ Requires several coordinated PRs and repeated CI runs instead of one consolidated update.
Recommendation: Area-specific commits make consolidation workable, provided each area receives separate build and behavior checks. Before merging, reconcile Scope’s Tailwind 4 CSS and removed PostCSS config with its still-Tailwind-3 package manifest and Astro setup; either complete its Vite migration or defer its CSS conversion.

server.jsAdapt authentication routes to Express 5+12/-6
Adapt authentication routes to Express 5
• Uses a named auth wildcard, limits JSON parsing to the exchange endpoint so Better Auth receives raw requests, and handles listen callback errors.
• Updates .NET, Azure, OpenTelemetry, Aspire, CLI, and test packages, including MessagePack 3 and coverlet 10. MassTransit remains at 8.3.6; the MessagePack security-pin rationale is revised.
package.jsonUpgrade Scope React and tooling packages+13/-14
Upgrade Scope React and tooling packages
• Raises the Node minimum, upgrades Astro, React, cytoscape, and lint tooling, and drops cytoscape’s deprecated type stub. It still declares Tailwind 3 and autoprefixer.
global.cssIntroduce CSS-first styling in Scope+68/-30
Introduce CSS-first styling in Scope
• Replaces Tailwind directives with a Tailwind 4 import and theme, moves element rules into the base layer, and restores border and button-cursor behavior. The matching package and Vite configuration changes are absent.
- actions/github-script v7 -> v9.0.0, actions/checkout v4 -> v7.0.1 and
actions/create-github-app-token v1 -> v3.3.0 in the gemini and pr-agent
workflows, now pinned by SHA like the rest of the repo.
- dorny/test-reporter v3.0.0 -> v3.2.0, Azure/static-web-apps-deploy to
1a947af.
- Dependabot ignores MassTransit major versions: v9+ is commercially
licensed. The OpenTransit switch is tracked in #195.

Supersedes Dependabot #156 (express), #155 (jose) and #157 (dotenv).
- express 4.22 -> 5.3: the Better Auth catch-all becomes
/api/v1/betterauth/*splat (path-to-regexp v8 rejects a bare "*").
express.json() is no longer global; it runs only on the exchange
route, as Better Auth's Express docs require the auth handler to see
the raw body. The listen callback ignores the error argument that
Express 5 now passes on bind failure.
- jose 5.10 -> 6.2: importPKCS8 + SignJWT usage is unchanged.
- dotenv 16.6 -> 17.4: loaded through src/env.js with quiet: true so
the new "injected env" log line does not appear.

Bump react, react-dom, @types/react and @types/react-dom to 19.x in
both apps (supersedes Dependabot #148, #149, #152, #164). No source
changes were needed: neither app uses the global JSX namespace,
argument-less useRef, ReactDOM.render, defaultProps, propTypes or
string refs. @astrojs/react 6 accepts React 19. SharedAuth has no
React dependency, so it is unchanged.

Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_014QCSL3vKBpaY5vx6epF7wE
Supersedes Dependabot #150 and #151. Started from
`npx @tailwindcss/upgrade` (4.3.3), then reviewed and adjusted:
- Build: tailwindcss 4.3.3 through @tailwindcss/vite in astro.config.
postcss.config.mjs, tailwind.config.mjs and autoprefixer are gone
(v4 handles vendor prefixes itself). The upgrade tool wired up
@tailwindcss/postcss, which was swapped for the Vite plugin.
- Theme: tailwind.config theme.extend moved into an @theme block in
src/styles/global.css. backgroundSize.grid has no v4 theme
namespace (the tool emitted a dead --background-size-grid, so
bg-grid vanished from the build); restored as @Utility bg-grid.
- Sources: `@import 'tailwindcss' source('..')` limits scanning to
src/, matching v3's content glob, so the legacy .razor files and
READMEs are not scanned. SharedAuth holds no class names, so it
needs no @source.
- Utility renames from the tool: rounded -> rounded-sm,
backdrop-blur-sm -> backdrop-blur-xs, outline-none ->
outline-hidden, flex-shrink-0 -> shrink-0, bg-gradient-to-* ->
bg-linear-to-*, bg-[#0A0E17] -> bg-space-dark (same value).
- Visual parity: kept the tool's v3 border-colour compatibility rule
and added v4's documented button cursor:pointer rule. @layer
components and utilities blocks became @Utility rules.
- Drop tailwind.config.mjs from the csproj NpmBuild inputs and
update the README and CLAUDE.md notes.

Applies Dependabot #183: astro 7.4.2, cytoscape 3.34.4,
@typescript-eslint 8.72, eslint-plugin-react-hooks 7.1.1, globals 17.13,
autoprefixer 10.6.1, prettier 3.9.10.
@types/cytoscape 3.31.0 is a deprecated stub (cytoscape ships its own
index.d.ts), so remove it instead of bumping. Raise engines.node to
>=22.23.4 to match astro 7.4.2's minimum.

Applies Dependabot #159 (react, @types/react) and moves react-dom and
@types/react-dom with it, since the pair must stay in lockstep. No source
changes needed: tsc --noEmit is clean (no global JSX namespace, every
useRef has an initial value, no removed APIs in use).

Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_014QCSL3vKBpaY5vx6epF7wE
Applies Dependabot #160 (tailwindcss 3.4.19 -> 4.3.3) using the official
@tailwindcss/upgrade tool, then reviewed and adjusted:
- Run Tailwind through @tailwindcss/vite in astro.config; drop
postcss.config.mjs, autoprefixer and @tailwindcss/postcss (v4 handles
vendor prefixing itself).
- Port tailwind.config.mjs (slate-950, Roboto sans, class dark mode) to
@theme / @custom-variant in global.css and delete the config file.
- Restrict source detection to src/ with source("../"), matching the old
content glob.
- Class renames from the tool: outline-none -> outline-hidden,
backdrop-blur(-sm) -> backdrop-blur-sm(-xs), flex-shrink-0 -> shrink-0,
bg-gradient-to-b -> bg-linear-to-b, arbitrary opacity/z-index to the
bare-value forms. Computed values are unchanged.
- Keep v3 visuals: gray-200 default border colour and cursor:pointer on
buttons via @layer base; move element-level globals (select/option
colours, a { text-decoration: none }, safe-area padding) into
@layer base so utilities such as hover:underline and bg-black/30 on
selects still win, as they did in v3.
- Drop tailwind.config.mjs from the csproj build inputs; update README.

Consolidates Dependabot #175, #176 and #180, re-applied on current main.
- #175 group: Microsoft.Extensions/ASP.NET Core/EF Core to 10.0.14 (aligned
with SignalR.Client already at 10.0.14 on main), OpenTelemetry 1.18.0,
OpenIddict 7.7.0, StackExchange.Redis 2.13.17, Aspire hosting 13.5.3,
Azure SDKs, Graph, Spectre.Console 0.57.2, test tooling and others.
- Held back: MassTransit stays 8.3.6 (v9 is commercially licensed);
System.CommandLine stays 2.0.0-beta4 (2.0 stable is an API rewrite,
~340 call sites in Dhadgar.Cli; needs its own PR).
- #176: coverlet.collector 10.0.1.
- #180: MessagePack 3.1.12 (3.1.8 is itself inside GHSA-qhrr-8q5h-9q3h,
patched at 3.1.9). Aspire only uses StreamJsonRpc's SystemTextJsonFormatter.
- Aspire.AppHost.Sdk 13.1.0 -> 13.5.3 to match the hosting packages;
ASPIRE010 kept as a message (we use package-delivered DCP, not the CLI bundle).
- Spectre 0.57 adds ConfirmAsync: CA1849 fixed at 7 CLI confirm prompts.
- Scalar 2.17 adds namespace Scalar.AspNetCore.Attributes: CA1724 fixed by
renaming TracingConstants.Attributes to SpanAttributes.
- Regenerated packages.lock.json files.

The Scope Tailwind 4 commit was missing its package, lockfile, Astro
config, csproj and README changes, and still had tailwind.config.mjs.
Restore them so Scope builds with @tailwindcss/vite.
Also put the static-web-apps-deploy pin back to the v1 commit main
uses, and update the BetterAuth README to express 5, jose 6 and

The Quick Start still says Node.js 20+ is supported. Scope now declares Node.js >=22.23.4, and Astro 7.4.2 exits before running on an older version. A developer who follows this prerequisite cannot build the site. Update it to match the supported version. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Pin the Gemini CLI action to a full commit SHA before it receives secrets.
google-github-actions/run-gemini-cli@v0 is a mutable tag. The invoke job passes GITHUB_TOKEN through env and GEMINI_API_KEY through with. If the tag moves or is compromised, the workflow can run attacker-controlled code with both values. This PR pins actions/checkout and actions/github-script in this file to full commit SHAs but leaves this step on the tag. GitHub recommends full-length commit SHAs for actions because tags can be moved.
Replace the tag with the full commit SHA of the release you verified. Keep the version as a trailing comment, as the other pins in this file do.

Rename app-id to client-id only after the secret holds a Client ID.
The app-id input is deprecated in create-github-app-token v3. Its metadata says to use client-id instead, so the workflow emits a deprecation warning. The client-id input is documented as the GitHub App Client ID, not the numeric App ID. The secret passed today is SPIRIT_APP_ID, so its value may be the numeric App ID. Updating only the key may pass that value to client-id. Update the secret to the Client ID (format Iv...) in the same change.

In the create-github-app-token step, use the client-id input only after
SPIRIT_APP_ID contains the GitHub App Client ID rather than the numeric App ID;
update the stored secret to the Client ID in the same change.

Update the Better Auth version in the dependency table.
The manifest declares better-auth as ^1.6.25, but this entry still says ^1.3.1 (actual: 1.4.10). Version 1.4.10 cannot satisfy the declared range. Update the range and check the lockfile before stating an actual installed version. (docs.npmjs.com)

Update the better-auth entry in the dependency table to use the manifest’s
declared range, ^1.6.25, and verify the lockfile before listing an actual
installed version; remove the current actual-version claim if it cannot be
confirmed.

Preserve TracingConstants.Attributes for compatible consumers.
TracingConstants.Attributes is a public type in a shared library. Keep an obsolete forwarding alias so consumers can migrate without a source-breaking change. If the alias is not retained, coordinate and document this as a breaking change.

Keep TracingConstants.Attributes available as an obsolete forwarding alias to
SpanAttributes, preserving its existing public constants so consumers can
migrate without a source-breaking change.
