NSO GameCube Controller connects but does not give any input

When connecting the NSO GameCube controller, the application shows that "Command sent successfully" and pairs with the controller without issue, but when testing it on a website such as gamepad viewer, the site shows that no controllers are connected.

I've had a similar issue where it connects and shows up in Steam as a PS4 controller as long as you leave the exe running, but even then it doesn't accept any inputs from the controller itself.
