🧾 Title

Remove [EPIC] /[Ticket] bracket title prefix from issue templates

🧠 Summary

This repo's issue templates (.github/ISSUE_TEMPLATE/epic.md and ticket.md) have title: "[EPIC] " / title: "[Ticket] " baked into the frontmatter. This is not a GitHub standard — it's an artifact of GitHub's web "New issue" picker pre-filling the title box from the template frontmatter. Issues created via the web UI inherit the bracket; issues created via the repo-scaffold CLI (issue create --title) never read the template, so they stay clean. This caused inconsistent titles across the repo's issue list. The companion fix already landed in blairg23/repo-scaffold#177.

📦 Scope

  • Change title: "[EPIC] " → title: "" in .github/ISSUE_TEMPLATE/epic.md
  • Change title: "[Ticket] " → title: "" in .github/ISSUE_TEMPLATE/ticket.md

🚫 Out of Scope

  • Renaming existing issues that already have the bracket prefix (handled separately, on a case-by-case basis)
  • Any code/CLI changes — this is a template-only fix local to this repo

✅ Acceptance Criteria

  • Both templates' title: frontmatter field is empty
  • name/about/labels fields are unchanged

🧪 Testing / Validation

  • Open a new issue via the GitHub web UI using each template and confirm the title field is empty by default
