refactor(mosaic): type onValueChange of choice components by their values - #10675
Radio.Group, SegmentedControl.Root and Select.Root now type their value the way Base UI's RadioGroup and Select do. Features no longer narrow string by hand or round-trip numbers through strings.
Each root takes one unconstrained Value (default string), inferred from value, defaultValue, items or onValueChange. Values can be any type and are compared with Object.is. The useComposite registry is now unknown-valued.
Breaking for primitives:
Select's single "nothing selected" value is now null instead of ''.
Select.Value / Select.Trigger render children receive unknown[].
Native value attributes are set only for string values.
?? undefined is removed at the Select call sites, so a null value now keeps the select controlled.
The forwardRef roots get their generic signature through one cast each, the same shape as Dialog.Trigger (components/dialog/dialog.tsx).
When Select.Popup renders items itself, rows are keyed by position, since values may be objects and can't be keys.
These components are not exported from @clerk/mosaic, so the changeset is empty.

Radio, segmented-control, and select APIs now support generic values beyond strings. Their implementations use unknown internally and use Object.is for relevant comparisons. Select maps null to an empty selection and stringifies fallback labels. Type tests cover callback inference and invalid values. Feature call sites pass selected values directly in the described cases.
clerk/javascript#10665: Adds Radio.Card with string values; this change broadens Radio.Card values and adds generic Radio.Group values.

Update the Select.Option props table to match the new value contract.
The value row still says string. The label row still says "falls back to value". The code now accepts unknown values and falls back to String(value). The notes at lines 176-177 describe the new behavior, so the table contradicts them.

As per coding guidelines, hand-written prop tables must be correct and have a Default column ("Document the default value for every prop in a dedicated Default column").

Minor · Function-valued Radio and SegmentedControl values are called, not stored. · radio.tsx:32-38
packages/mosaic/src/components/radio/radio.tsx:32-38 Minor · Functional Correctness · Quick win
Function-valued Radio and SegmentedControl values are called, not stored.
useControllableState passes both the initial defaultValue and each uncontrolled next value directly to React's useState and setState. React calls a function passed to either one. Radio.Group and SegmentedControl.Root supply the caller's value unchanged. With Value unconstrained, a function value can reach the hook. The state then holds the function's return value, not the function. The same value passed as defaultValue is called during the first render.
The change does not affect Select, whose values are stored inside an array. The inspected importers do not pass updater functions to the hook's setter, so the wrapper does not change their behavior. The remaining importers, including use-snap-points.ts, tag-input-root.tsx, and file-upload-root.tsx, were not read in full.

packages/mosaic/src/primitives/select/select-option.tsx:49-52 Minor · Functional Correctness · Quick win
Make valueToLabelRef cleanup ownership-aware.
SelectOptionBody uses one map entry for each value, but each option deletes that entry during cleanup. Duplicate values are allowed by the current contract. When one duplicate option unmounts, it can delete the label still needed by the other option. Track registrations or ownership so the entry is deleted only after the last option with that value unmounts.
