A small FastAPI server that turns your iPhone into a remote control for your Mac over home Wi-Fi. It serves a single web page with a touchpad that drives the mouse pointer, live keyboard input, and shortcuts for Chrome tabs, media playback, and system volume.
- Touchpad — 1 finger moves the cursor, 2 fingers scroll, tap clicks, long-press right-clicks.
- Keyboard — every keystroke streams live to the Mac.
- Media — play/pause (macOS media key) and volume up/down/mute.
- Chrome — previous/next tab (wraps around), new tab, close tab, close others, and a tab-switcher overlay.
- Shortcuts — Raycast (
option+space), Mission Control, and Esc. - Pairing — a 6-digit code shown in the terminal; no accounts.
Run:
./run.sh
This creates a Python virtual environment on first launch, installs dependencies, prints the URL to open, and starts the server. When prompted by macOS, grant Accessibility permission if prompted, or add your terminal app manually (System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility) so the server can send keyboard and mouse events.
Open the printed http://<mac-ip>:8787 in Safari on your iPhone (same Wi-Fi network), then tap Share → Add to Home Screen to use it like an app.
Anyone on the same Wi-Fi can control this Mac through the remote — don't expose it beyond your home network.
The server must be running for the remote to work.
