ci: build the mobile template without native toolchains #38
CI installs and builds every template that has a build script, as a smoke test. An
Expo template cannot be built the way the web templates are: a full native build needs
Xcode or the Android SDK plus a JDK, none of which belong in this repo's CI.
Scope
Decide and implement one of:
Run expo export, which bundles the JavaScript without native toolchains and would
catch most breakage.
Or exclude mobile templates from the build matrix explicitly, with the exclusion
visible rather than implicit.
Prefer the first if it runs in reasonable time, because an excluded template silently
rots.
Acceptance
CI is green with a mobile template present.
Whatever coverage is skipped is stated in the workflow, not left implied.
Shipped in #90 (templates v0.15.0): the Expo starter's build is expo export --platform ios --platform android, which needs no native toolchain, so the template matrix can run it with the same steps as the other kinds. The matrix job only runs on the release PR and that PR's runs were never approved for v0.15.0, so the first CI run of this build is still pending; tracked in fells-code/seamless-auth-api#314 since every repo's release PR has the same approval gap.
