Can you give an example of what you're envisioning?

@MenakaLatha Can you elaborate on what you're imagining?

So in my case (I filed #2755) I have somewhat long branch names and often they run off the top of the view, without the ability to scroll up any further, so I cannot see the ends of them. With them angled, it's even harder to quickly see what branches I'm working on.

I would like either the option to layout from left-to-right, giving a wide enough column for the labels along the left.

Or continue layout top to bottom, but the labels going flat across the right. I don't need to see a large number of labels at once, and as as the author of this issue points out, screens are wide now.

Another option would be to drop labels down a row as you move to the right, adjusting the graph appropriately, but I think that would be a more invasive change. It would be enough for me to just scroll to the right when I need to.
