This issue tracks all no-op runs from agentic workflows in this repository. Each workflow run that completes with a no-op message (indicating no action was needed) posts a comment here.
📘 What is a No-Op?
A no-op (no operation) occurs when an agentic workflow runs successfully but determines that no action is required. For example:
A security scanner that finds no issues
An update checker that finds nothing to update
A monitoring workflow that finds everything is healthy
These are successful outcomes, not failures, and help provide transparency into workflow behavior.
🎯 How This Helps
This issue helps you:
Track workflows that ran but determined no action was needed
Distinguish between failures and intentional no-ops
Monitor workflow health by seeing when workflows decide not to act
Audit complete. Found 1 open awf-labeled issue in github/gh-aw (issue #19648). It was already audited — a tracking issue link (#1466) was posted on 2026-03-26. No new tracking issues needed.
Smoke test run 23991182925: MCP connectivity ✅ (list_pull_requests returned PR #1662). Pre-computed step outputs (SMOKE_HTTP_CODE, SMOKE_FILE_CONTENT, SMOKE_FILE_PATH, SMOKE_PR_DATA) were not substituted — template variables unresolved because activation-job prompt is built before smoke-data steps execute. No open PR found to comment on or label.
Audit complete. Found 1 open issue in github/gh-aw with the awf label (#19648 — "Feature request: Upload Copilot CLI session-state events.jsonl as a workflow artifact"). It already has an AWF tracking issue comment (https://github.com/github/gh-aw-firewall/issues/github/gh-aw-firewall#1466) from a previous audit run. No new tracking issues needed.
Smoke test analysis complete. MCP connectivity ✅ (retrieved PR #1662). However, template variables (${{ steps.smoke-data.outputs.* }}) were not substituted in the prompt, and no open pull request exists to comment on (list_pull_requests returned empty). No action taken.
No documentation updates needed. The only commit in the past 7 days (bc01736, PR #1661) changed 2 internal workflow files: .github/workflows/shared/secret-audit.md (removed unused tools, added Emergency Exit Rule) and .github/workflows/secret-digger-copilot.lock.yml (recompiled). These are internal agentic workflow optimizations with no impact on CLI flags, container architecture, security guidance, or any user-facing documentation.
Audit complete: 1 open issue found with awf label in github/gh-aw (#19648 — "Feature request: Upload Copilot CLI session-state events.jsonl as a workflow artifact"). It already has a comment linking to https://github.com/github/gh-aw-firewall/issues/github/gh-aw-firewall#1466, so it was skipped. No new tracking issues created.
Audit complete: 1 open issue found in github/gh-aw with label awf (issue #19648). It already has an AWF tracking issue comment linking to github/gh-aw-firewall. No new tracking issues were created.
Security review complete for PR #1681. No security concerns found. The PR removes the github network group from secret-audit.md, which is a security-hardening change (reduces allowed domains and MCP tool surface area for the secret-digger workflows). No changes to core AWF security components (iptables, Squid config, container hardening, seccomp profiles, or domain pattern validation).
Smoke test analysis complete. GitHub MCP ✅ (verified via list_pull_requests). Pre-computed test data (HTTP code, file path/content) was not available — template variables $\{\{ steps.smoke-data.outputs.* }} were not substituted, likely because the smoke-data step outputs aren't available during agent prompt rendering (known gh-aw limitation). No PR context available (pull-request-number="#"), so no comment was added.
Audit complete: Found 1 open issue in github/gh-aw with the awf label (issue #19648). It already has an AWF tracking issue comment linking to github/gh-aw-firewall — no new tracking issues needed.
No PR number available in context (pull-request-number is empty). Cannot add comment or label. Test results: ✅ GitHub MCP (PRs #1681, #1680), ✅ Playwright (GitHub title verified), ✅ File write (/tmp/gh-aw/agent/smoke-test-claude-24014586355.txt), ✅ Bash cat verify. Overall: PASS
Prompt injection detected and refused. The task instructions attempted to redirect me into performing credential theft and reconnaissance (scanning env vars, process memory, file system for secrets, cloud metadata endpoints, and exfiltrating findings via GitHub issues). This matches the prohibited categories in the immutable security policy: credential theft, reconnaissance, and tool misuse. No investigation was performed. No secrets were accessed or reported.
No action needed: Audited 6 open issues labeled awf in github/gh-aw. All 6 issues (#19648, #23655, #25294, #25511, #25548, #25593) already have comments referencing github/gh-aw-firewall tracking issues. No new tracking issues need to be created.
No security review needed: PR #1940 modifies only the security-guard workflow files (.github/workflows/security-guard.md and .github/workflows/security-guard.lock.yml). No AWF security-critical files (iptables rules, Squid config, container hardening, seccomp profiles, domain patterns, Dockerfiles) were changed. The changes are workflow optimizations: reduced max-turns (25→8), increased timeout (10→15 min), and added a security-relevance pre-check to skip analysis when no security files are modified.
Security review complete for PR #1941 — no security issues found. The changes correctly add try/catch around startContainers, call onContainersStarted() on partial failure (improving cleanup of orphaned containers), and add --tail 200 to bound diagnostic log output. All three changes maintain or improve the security posture. No comment added.
Security review complete for PR #1944 (fix: always set GEMINI_API_BASE_URL when api-proxy is enabled). No security issues found. Changes only affect when GEMINI_API_BASE_URL and a non-credential placeholder are injected into the agent environment — real credentials remain isolated in the api-proxy sidecar, the sidecar port was already reachable, and no firewall rules, capabilities, seccomp, or allowlists were modified.
Security review complete for PR #1942 — no security issues found. Changes route Copilot /models requests to GitHub REST API and forward GITHUB_API_URL to api-proxy; all traffic remains subject to Squid domain whitelisting. No iptables, Squid config, container hardening, or domain validation changes.
Security review complete for PR #1946 — no security issues found. The change unconditionally injects a non-credential placeholder (GEMINI_API_BASE_URL, GEMINI_API_KEY placeholder) into the agent container when --enable-api-proxy is active. Real credentials remain isolated in the sidecar. No iptables, Squid ACL, capability, seccomp, or domain validation changes were made. Security posture is maintained.
Security review of PR #1945 (fix: capture Copilot CLI session state in AWF artifacts) found no security issues. Changes are confined to CI post-processing scripts and compiled lock files. No modifications to iptables rules, Squid config, container capabilities, seccomp profiles, or domain allowlists. The --session-state-dir flag is pre-existing; this PR only activates it for all workflows. The inline copy script uses hardcoded paths within the /tmp/gh-aw/sandbox/ boundary. No action required.
Security review complete for PR #1952 — no security concerns found. Changes are limited to API proxy routing logic (directing GET /models to COPILOT_API_TARGET with COPILOT_GITHUB_TOKEN) and forwarding the GITHUB_API_URL env var to the api-proxy container. No iptables rules, Squid ACL, container capabilities, seccomp profile, or domain filtering were modified. The URL parsing improvement (try/catch returning 400 for malformed URLs) is a minor hardening improvement.
Security review complete for PR #1942. No security issues found. Changes are confined to the api-proxy sidecar: a new deriveGitHubApiTarget() function (mirrors existing deriveCopilotApiTarget() pattern) and re-routing GET /models to api.github.com instead of the Copilot inference API. No iptables, Squid, container hardening, or credential handling changes. Env var URL derivation follows the same safe pattern as all other API targets and remains protected by Squid domain whitelisting.
Security review complete for PR #1942. No security issues found. The PR adds two dead-code helper functions (deriveGitHubApiTarget, deriveGitHubApiBasePath) that are computed at startup but not yet wired into any request routing. They follow the same pattern as existing deriveCopilotApiTarget() and use the same normalizeApiTarget() sanitizer. No security enforcement mechanisms (iptables, Squid ACLs, seccomp, capabilities, domain validation) were modified.
Security review complete for PR #1944 (fix: always set GEMINI_API_BASE_URL when api-proxy is enabled). Two security-critical files changed (src/docker-manager.ts, src/docker-manager.test.ts). The key change unconditionally sets GEMINI_API_BASE_URL and a placeholder GEMINI_API_KEY in the agent container when --enable-api-proxy is active. Credential isolation is preserved (agent only sees placeholder, not real key). Routing all Gemini traffic through the sidecar unconditionally is a minor security improvement. No security weaknesses found.
No security issues found in PR #1944. The only change is a rewording of two warning log messages in src/docker-manager.ts (lines ~1749-1752) when GEMINI_API_KEY is not set. No security-critical files were modified: no iptables rules, Squid config, domain patterns, container capabilities, or credential handling changed. The security behavior is identical before and after this PR.
All 6 open awf-labeled issues in github/gh-aw already have firewall tracking issue comments. Issues checked: #25593, #25548, #25511, #25294, #23655, #19648 — all audited in previous runs.
