Summary

Defines the Phase 1 security contract for an opt-in NVX primary-agent backend using one-shot execution only.

  • Documents artifact trust, immutable staging, VMM confinement, host-enforced networking, deterministic EROFS/ext4 images, credential isolation, hostile-output filtering, structured outcomes, and crash-safe cleanup.
  • Explicitly excludes managed sessions, repeated sandbox exec, TTYs, VM reuse, resume, and snapshot/restore from the initial backend.
  • Updates the Phase 0 workflow so Codex and Copilot run independently through sandbox run without managed-session gating.
  • Requires valid structured one-shot outcomes and distinguishes host timeout, missing outcome, NVX launch failure, and guest failure.
  • Adds cleanup evidence for NVX teardown flags, residual OpenVMM processes, host links, and AWF-owned scratch removal.

Validation

  • gh aw compile nvx-phase-0-feasibility --strict --validate --actionlint --shellcheck
  • npx --no-install markdownlint-cli2 docs/nvx-security-design.md docs/sbx-integration.md .github/workflows/nvx-phase-0-feasibility.md
  • Repository commit hooks: ESLint and TypeScript build

What changed in this PR

Defines the Phase 1 security contract for an opt-in, one-shot NVX backend and aligns Phase 0 feasibility probes with that model.

Changes:

  • Documents NVX isolation, artifact trust, networking, outcomes, and cleanup requirements.
  • Replaces managed-session probes with independent Codex and Copilot one-shot runs.
  • Adds structured cleanup evidence and regenerates the workflow lock.
