[deep-report] Docs: CLAUDE_CODE_OAUTH_TOKEN pitfall missing from Quick Start Claude tab (19 consecutive daily reports) #60034
CLAUDE_CODE_OAUTH_TOKEN (produced by claude login) is silently ignored by the Claude engine, causing an opaque downstream auth failure that never names the token as the culprit. This is documented only as plain prose at docs/src/content/docs/setup/cli.md:240 — it is completely absent from the Claude tab a new user actually follows at docs/src/content/docs/setup/quick-start.mdx:134-138.
This exact gap has now been flagged by the Claude Code User Documentation Review workflow for 19 consecutive daily runs since 2026-08-22 (most recently #59973, 2026-09-10) without ever being converted into a tracked, fixable GitHub issue — every run re-discovers and re-reports the same gap in a discussion that expires a week later.
Expected Impact
Closes a 19-day-recurring documentation gap for new Claude Code users at their actual point of failure (Quick Start), converting a chronic "report and forget" cycle into one concrete fix.
Suggested Agent
Documentation-focused agent (e.g. claude-code-user-docs-review itself, or a maintainer doing a docs PR).
Estimated Effort
Quick (< 1 hour): (1) convert the cli.md:240 prose into a [!WARNING] callout (the file already uses this pattern elsewhere, e.g. lines 416 and 468), and (2) add a short duplicate/linked warning directly in quick-start.mdx's Claude tab near lines 134-138, where users actually authenticate.
Data Source
DeepReport Intelligence Briefing analysis, 2026-09-10 cycle, sourced from Claude Code User Documentation Review #59973 (19th consecutive recurrence, first seen 2026-08-22). Verified no existing open GitHub issue tracks this specific gap despite the 19-day recurrence.
