qa(lastcode): verify Project Actions in the v2 sidebar #72
Verify Project Actions in the v2 sidebar with an integrated browser pass. Structured Action progress has superseded the original Waiting-only status model: active work reports Working, while an external wait reports Waiting.
QA checklist
Structured working progress appears as Working in the v2 sidebar; structured waiting progress appears as Waiting.
The status UI exposes the Action name and details popover.
Running duration is shown and updates correctly.
Open Terminal activates the exact retained Action terminal.
Cancel Action stops the run and the sidebar returns to its idle state.
The lifecycle is correct: Working → Waiting → Working → idle/ready after completion and resume.
Colors and appearance are correct in light and dark themes.
Active, selected, unselected, and hover states are correct.
Legacy-sidebar behavior retains the same truthful structured status.
Reload/reconnect preserves the current Action state and elapsed duration.
Notes
The original tracker requested a manual human pass. At maintainer direction, this was completed as an automated integrated browser pass against an isolated environment instead. Exact validation details and the existing visual evidence are recorded in the closing comment.

Focused web validation passed: 166 tests across Sidebar.logic.test.ts, ComposerActionResume.test.tsx, and MessagesTimeline.logic.test.ts.
The first checklist item predates structured progress and is no longer the canonical behavior. A running Action with progress.state: "working" appears as Working; progress.state: "waiting" (and the legacy no-progress fallback) appears as Waiting.
I also started an isolated browser pass with a disposable project and Action. The browser preview became blocked by the native directory picker and could not continue driving the app, so this does not count as the requested human QA and I have not checked off any interactive items.
Still outstanding for a human pass: the primary action details popover, live duration updates, Open Terminal, Cancel Action and its resulting state, the complete Working/Waiting/resume/Ready sequence, light appearance, active/selected/hover states, legacy-sidebar parity, and remote/reconnect behavior. Leaving the issue open.
Validated against 8615a1b4af1da9e25d4c941e054079cc9c7a3240 in an isolated web environment with Codex GPT-5.6-Sol.
Observed structured Working → Waiting → Working transitions and successful completion. Completion removed the Action status and restored the normal idle row with its timestamp; the current UI does not render a literal Ready label.
Opened the status popover and verified the Action name, summary, and duration. The displayed duration advanced from 25s to 29s during observation.
Open Terminal changed the terminal UI's active terminal and group to the exact current Action run.
Cancel Action removed the running sidebar status and produced the expected cancelled follow-up.
Reloaded the remote page during a run. The same Working state survived reconnect and its elapsed duration advanced from 7s before reload to 33s afterward.
Verified distinct light and dark computed colors for the status and selected row.
Verified the selected/active row, the unselected row, and real pointer hover. The unselected row used reduced opacity and returned to full opacity on hover while retaining the Action status.
Enabled the legacy sidebar during a run and confirmed it exposed the same structured Action state and summary.
Focused automated coverage remains green: 166 tests across the sidebar, composer Action controls, and timeline lifecycle suites.
The collaborative preview's screenshot operation failed, so this pass did not create a new image. The merged exact-head dark-theme visual evidence remains available on PR #147: #147 (comment)
No product discrepancy was found. The tracker wording has been updated for the shipped structured-progress and idle/ready presentation, and the issue can close as completed.
