Restore the GitHub
.lakecache before automatic configuration andmk_all-check, allowing both steps to reuse cached dependencies and build artifacts. Cache keys, conditions, and the relative order of all other steps remain unchanged. In three local trials using Mathlib’s
mk_allon a small downstream package, median runtime fell from 20.1s to 6.45s, with rebuilt targets dropping from 137 to zero. These measurements exclude cache transfer and dependency downloads.Validation passed ShellCheck, actionlint, and YAML parsing. Restored caches correctly detected changed configuration and newly unimported files.
Codex assisted with implementation and validation.
