feat(gui): design system v2 — redesigned dashboard, navigation and desktop app - #8105
Redesigns the dashboard (gui/) and the desktop app's own windows. Every page, route, setting and API call is kept; this is a visual, structural and information-architecture change, not a behaviour change. The one interaction that changed is how the sidebar's proxy actions are operated (see Proxy lever). The previous design stays available as a classic dashboard (see Classic dashboard). The only src/ change lets the proxy serve that second dashboard.
Design system v2
Tailwind v4 is added next to the existing stylesheets through cascade layers (theme, base, legacy, bridge, components, utilities, gui/src/design/theme.css). Every v1 sheet sits in legacy; design/bridge.css repaints v1 classes with v2 tokens, so unmigrated markup already looks v2. Stylesheets imported by components now wrap themselves in @layer legacy (unlayered CSS outranked every layer). ADR 0006 records the decision.
Tokens: an inverse primary (white on dark, near-black on light) for primary actions and selected states, sky blue only for focus rings and links, status hues only for state. Two control heights (34/28px), tight radii (8/10/12px), a short type scale (title 20, stat 22, body 13), tabular UI numerals instead of monospace figures, a flat canvas (no gradient wash or glass).
Rules that keep it that way, each with a test: no native <select> outside ui.tsx and no unclassed text field (form-controls-rule), one switch spec (switch-rule), the control heights and row pairing (control-size-rule), and the "professional pass" (no pulses, gradients, oversized titles; quiet sidebar) (professional-rules). design-system/foundations.md documents each.
Navigation and pages
The sidebar groups pages into Everyday / Set up / Fine-tuning, with the wordmark and collapse toggle on one strip and a compact foot (proxy status row, language + theme, GitHub + version). New Home (health, stats, setup checklist, recent errors), Set up hub and All settings hub (searchable index of every setting). Unknown hashes land on Home.
Reworked pages: Models (provider rail, stat strip, ruled model table, Combos/Routing/Compatibility), Accounts & limits (serving account with remaining-quota meters, account rows with an overflow menu, Providers list/detail), Subagents (what is in effect first, steppers, sticky save bar), Usage (metric cards with sparklines, one large chart, breakdown tables), Logs/Debug/Storage (one-line toolbar, filter chips, status pills, column menu, live-tail panel), Connect, Startup, Remote Link/Workspace, Proxy details (sectioned settings with an in-page index), Advisor.
All 44 native selects are now the app's Select (extended with disabled options, type-ahead, sizes, required/name). Copy for the new surfaces lives in per-page tables under gui/src/i18n/v2-pages/, wired into all 11 locales.
Proxy lever
The sidebar's proxy row replaces its separate reload and stop icons with one three-stop slot lever (gui/src/components/ui-v2/proxy-lever.tsx). Pull it to the middle notch to reload Codex models, or all the way down to stop the proxy. The existing confirmation still guards the stop, and cancelling it raises the lever again. A short pull springs back and fires nothing. Click, Enter and ↓ take the harmless middle notch; End is the stop. The lever is named by both actions and described by a localized hint.
While the lever is hovered or held, the status line says what letting go will do: "Pull: reload · stop", "Let go: reload models" in sky with a light sweep, "Let go: stop the proxy" in red, or "Let go to cancel".
Held at the reload notch, a band of sky light sweeps the row. Held at the bottom, the proxy's light flickers red and the row dims and shudders. When a stop starts, the row lurches and rocks back, the status word slides in, and the light flickers out to an unlit ring. When a reload starts, light sweeps the row and the lever's slot charges sky until it settles, then the handle flashes green. With reduced motion, none of this moves.
The sidebar foot rows now share one grid: 32px rows, a 16px icon slot that also holds the status dot, labels on one line, and one right-hand action column.
The mobile top bar keeps its two 44px buttons. docs-site now names the dashboard's stop as the lever (desktop guide and the CLI lifecycle reference in all locales).
Classic dashboard
The pre-redesign dashboard stays available at /classic/. A clock icon beside the theme switch opens it, and its sidebar has New dashboard at the top of the foot to come back. The choice is remembered per browser (localStorageocx-ui), and index.html forwards to /classic/ before first paint, so the desktop app follows it too. The tray popover always uses the new design.
gui/classic/src holds only the 87 files the redesign modified, frozen at devb7e01c16e (locale catalogues excluded: the redesign only added keys), plus that commit's stylesheets so CSS @import chains resolve. gui/vite.classic.config.ts resolves each import to the classic copy when one exists and to gui/src otherwise, so the classic UI shares the current API clients, hooks and locale catalogues. bun run build now also builds gui/dist/classic. gui/classic/README.md records the rules: no edits beyond the way back, and it is excluded from lint, react-doctor, the type check and the file-size ratchet (two old files are over the 2000-line cap).
src/server/gui-static.ts: an extensionless path whose directory has its own index.html serves that file with the same session bootstrap. Every other extensionless path still falls back to the main dashboard (tests/gui/gui-static.test.ts).
Desktop app
Startup, update and terminal-command windows (desktop/ui/) restyled with the same tokens and the new mark (Geist bundled offline). The Windows tray popover (#/tray) is a compact status panel. App and tray icons are redrawn from the new mark (desktop/src-tauri/icons/); the generator script reproduces the set.
Brand
New logo, and an adaptive, background-free favicon for the dashboard (gui/public/favicon.svg, square viewBox) and the generated ICO/PNG set (scripts/brand/opencodex-mark.svg).

Verification
cd gui && npx tsc -b, bun run lint, bun run lint:i18n: clean.
cd gui && bun run test (isolated runner): 3777 pass, 0 fail.
cd gui && npx --yes react-doctor@0.9.11 --scope changed --base origin/dev --blocking warning: no issues.
cd gui && bun run build: succeeds (only the existing large-chunk warning).
Root bun run typecheck: no type errors in 2,281 files.
Root bun test tests/gui tests/ci-workflows/file-size-ratchet.test.ts tests/ci-workflows/structure-ssot.test.ts tests/clients/client-machine-listener.test.ts: 723 pass, 1 fail; the failure is tests/gui/gui-pair-http.test.ts timing out at 5 s under load, and that file passes 6/6 alone. Root tests that read docs-site: 474 pass, 0 fail. bun run structure:check and bun run privacy:scan pass. cd docs-site && bun run build: 641 pages.
The classic dashboard was checked against an isolated local proxy: it loads live data at /classic/, a remembered choice forwards /#models to /classic/#models, and New dashboard returns to / and stays there.
Earlier, after merging the latest dev, root bun test tests/gui tests/ci-workflows/file-size-ratchet.test.ts tests/ci-workflows/brand-favicons.test.ts tests/clients/desktop-{startup,update,cli-command}-surface.test.ts: 701 pass, 1 fail; the failure is tests/gui/gui-pair-http.test.ts timing out at 5 s while the suite ran under load, and that file passes 6/6 when run alone (twice).
Pages were checked in a browser against an isolated local proxy, in both themes, plus an automated audit for controls of different heights on one row (none left across 15 pages).
Known, not caused by this PR: tests/clients/desktop-remote-store.test.ts "receipt CAS and final cleanup…" times out at 5 s on this Windows machine before and after these changes (no src/ file changed). The Tauri app and the macOS native tray were not built (Windows host).
Checklist
Scope stays focused and avoids unrelated cleanup.
Docs or release notes were updated when needed. (gui/design-system/ ADR 0006 and foundations; docs-site/ desktop guide and CLI lifecycle reference, in every locale, now describe the dashboard's stop as the sidebar proxy lever; the web dashboard guide (English and Korean) describes the classic dashboard and how to switch.)
Security-sensitive changes were reviewed for secrets, auth, and unsafe defaults. (No auth or API changes. Registry license keys stay in the git-ignored gui/.env.local; gui/components.json only references them as ${…}.)

ICNS generation uses a temporary full-bleed SVG. Desktop pages use Geist fonts and light/dark tokens. GUI theme layers, Tailwind setup, branding, page styles, and v2 localization are added or updated.
Navigation adds Home, Setup, and Advanced routes with tiered groups. The sidebar adds proxy controls and validated uptime display. Shared controls add expanded custom-select behavior, buttons, segmented controls, account surfaces, settings layouts, and reusable page primitives.
Page migrations and new hubs gui/src/pages/*, gui/src/components/*, gui/src/connect-pairing.tsx
Home, Setup, and Advanced pages are added. Usage, Logs, Models, Startup, Subagents, Advisor, Remote Link, Remote Workspace, Tray, Storage, Debug, and other pages adopt v2 layouts and shared components. Existing data and interaction paths remain where described.
The redesign is mergeable with bounded follow-up: failed reads can misleadingly show healthy status, some lever interactions remain unreliable, and focused status accessibility and connected-mode copy need correction. No serious availability or data-loss failure is established.

Show the restart check only after a successful restart.
ProxyControls shows the green check whenever restarting goes from true to false. useCodexRestart clears restarting before it checks the outcome, so a failed restart also shows the check for 1.6 seconds, next to the error notice. Pass the restart outcome into ProxyControls, and show the check only for a successful result.

Home can report no errors when the 24-hour window holds more than 500 requests.
Home can report no errors when the 24-hour window holds more than 500 requests.
Home.tsx requests /api/logs?limit=500 and passes the returned rows to recentFailures. The server returns only the newest 500 rows. The headline and the Recent errors list use only the failures found in that set. If more than 500 requests follow a failure within 24 hours, the failure is not counted. The headline then shows the OK state, and the Recent errors list is empty. The same failure can still appear on the Logs page, which requests up to 2000 rows.
Raising the request limit to 2000 narrows the gap but does not close it. The request log keeps at most 2000 rows and does not retain by time. A complete count needs a server-side query or count limited to the 24-hour window.

Update the Home data flow around recentFailures so the headline and Recent
errors list use complete failure data for the 24-hour window, not a capped
client-side sample of the newest 500 rows. Use or add a server-side query/count
constrained to that time window, and establish the endpoint’s supported response
contract before changing the client; do not rely on simply raising the limit.

Add App-level coverage for the sidebar status when the health check fails.
The status-dot tests set statusLabel from their own online prop in gui/tests/proxy-controls-status-dot.test.tsx:11-12. They never run the proxyOnline mapping in gui/src/App.tsx:314-317, which feeds the sidebar at gui/src/App.tsx:542-543. If proxyOnline became always true, these tests would still pass.
Add a test that renders App with the /healthz request returning a failed response, then asserts that the sidebar shows the Offline status. gui/tests/remote-link-route.test.tsx:84 already stubs /healthz in an App-level render test, so that file's fetch setup is a usable starting point.

Pointer release decides whether to throw from the rendered drag state rather than the current point…
63-68: ⚠️ Potential issue | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win
Pointer release decides whether to throw from the rendered drag state rather than the current pointer displacement. A move followed by release before React commits that state may be treated as an uncommitted drag.
The lever springs back without opening stop confirmation despite a full pull.
This can occur when: A user pulls beyond the 12-degree threshold and releases before the last pointer-move update has rendered.

Update the pointer-release handling in the lever component to determine whether
to fire from the latest pointer displacement and the 12-degree threshold, rather
than the potentially stale rendered drag state. Preserve the existing
click-suppression behavior in onClick.
Add runtime tests for the stop lever's pointer and keyboard handlers.
Add runtime tests for the stop lever's pointer and keyboard handlers.
gui/tests/proxy-controls-status-dot.test.tsx:41-45 checks only server-rendered markup, so it does not run any lever handler. gui/src/components/ui-v2/proxy-lever.tsx calls onThrow through onPointerUp only for a committed drag, and through onKeyDown for ArrowDown. No other test in gui/tests dispatches events on ProxyLever. A regression in either path would not be detected.
Dispatch pointer and keyboard events on the lever in a DOM test. Assert that a short drag does not call onThrow, and that ArrowDown calls it.

Add DOM-based runtime coverage for ProxyLever’s pointer and keyboard handlers,
rather than relying only on the server-rendered markup assertions in the
existing test. Dispatch pointer events to verify a short drag does not call
onThrow, and dispatch ArrowDown to verify it does; preserve the component’s
committed-drag behavior.
Add tests for a tap after a moved drag that produces no click.
ProxyLever sets suppressClick.current to true on a moved release. Only onClick clears it. onPointerDown does not clear it. If a moved drag produces no click on the lever, the flag stays set, and the next tap's click is ignored. The pull() helper never dispatches a click, and the only click test starts on a fresh instance, so no test catches this.
🧪 Suggested tests
expect(lever.getAttribute("aria-description")).toContain("Pull halfway");
});
});
++test("the click that ends a moved drag is suppressed", async () => {+ await withLever(async ({ lever, win, calls }) => {+ await pull(lever, win, 13);+ await act(async () => { lever.click(); });+ expect(calls).toEqual(["restart"]);+ });+});++test("a tap after a moved drag with no click still takes the harmless notch", async () => {+ await withLever(async ({ lever, win, calls }) => {+ await pull(lever, win, 13);+ expect(calls).toEqual(["restart"]);+ const tap = async () => {+ const fire = (type: string) =>+ lever.dispatchEvent(new win.PointerEvent(type, { bubbles: true, cancelable: true, button: 0, pointerId: 1, clientY: 100 }) as unknown as Event);+ await act(async () => { fire("pointerdown"); });+ await act(async () => { fire("pointerup"); });+ await act(async () => { lever.click(); });+ };+ await tap();+ expect(calls).toEqual(["restart", "restart"]);+ });+});
The second test fails on the current code. The stale flag consumes the tap's click, so calls holds only one entry. It passes once a new press clears suppressClick. The first test checks that the drag's own click stays suppressed, so it passes in both cases.

Add ProxyLever tests covering both click behaviors: a click immediately after a
moved drag is suppressed, while a tap after a moved drag that produced no click
still triggers the harmless notch. Use the existing withLever and pull helpers,
dispatch the tap’s pointer events and click, and assert the expected calls
without changing production behavior.
Cover a pending stop confirmation in the lever tests.
Every lever test passes a synchronous onStop (gui/tests/proxy-lever-dom.test.tsx:29), so the stop promise settles at once. ProxyLever keeps the handle down until that promise settles (gui/src/components/ui-v2/proxy-lever.tsx, stop() and its .finally(() => setPulled(false))). In the app, handleStop can keep the stop pending while confirmAction is open (gui/src/App.tsx:362-389). No test reads the handle's down state during that window. A change that raises the handle early, or never sets pulled, would not fail a test.
Add a case that passes an onStop returning a deferred promise. Pull the lever to the bottom and assert that the handle stays down while the promise is pending. Then resolve the promise and assert that the handle rises. Extend withLever with an optional onStop argument so the existing tests keep the synchronous default.

Extend the withLever test helper with an optional onStop callback while

using a deferred promise. Pull the handle fully down and assert it remains down
while the promise is pending; resolve the promise and assert the handle rises.
Introduce Tailwind v4 alongside the existing stylesheets: every v1 sheet
moves into a `legacy` cascade layer and `design/bridge.css` repaints the
v1 tokens with the v2 palette, so unmigrated pages pick up the new look
while migrated components win the cascade.
- ui-v2 primitives: Button, SegmentedControl (sliding thumb, radio
semantics, roving focus), ProxyControls, BrandMark, HubCard
- the sidebar groups rows into Everyday / Set up / Fine-tuning tiers
- new Home page: health headline, stat tiles, setup checklist, recent
errors; unknown hashes and the brand now land on Home
- Setup and Advanced hubs map one-time and fine-grained settings to the
pages that own them
- legacy segmented controls get the sliding pill via CSS anchor
positioning; page titles share the v2 title scale
- new logo and an adaptive, background-free favicon
- copy for all 11 locales in i18n/shell-v2-copy.ts; ADR 0006
The tiered sidebar had folded Subagents, Advisor, the proxy dashboard,
Startup and Remote Link into two hub rows, so a setting could sit two
clicks deep behind a hub page. Each of them gets its own row again,
still sorted under the Everyday / Set up / Fine-tuning headings:
- Everyday: Home, Models, Accounts & limits, Subagents, Usage & Logs
- Set up: Connect (with the checklist beside it), Startup, Remote Link
- Fine-tuning: Proxy details, Advisor, All settings
The All settings hub stays as the searchable index, including the
settings that live inside other pages. No route changes.
…er foot
- the top strip shows the opencodex wordmark with the collapse toggle on
the same row; collapsed, only the toggle floats (macOS keeps the mark
without its name beside the traffic lights)
- the version leaves the brand on wide screens and sits at the bottom of
the sidebar, next to the desktop zoom control; the phone drawer and
topbar keep their version badge
- the theme switch is one orb that steps light, dark, system; its name
and tooltip say the current mode and the next one
- the foot reads top to bottom as proxy card, language, GitHub row (star,
update, theme), version
…e GitHub
- the proxy card becomes a status capsule: a green wash and glowing dot
while it runs, the title over "Online · uptime", and restart and stop in
one joined icon tray where stop turns red only on hover
- the sidebar's /healthz poll also reads uptime for that line
- the theme orb shares the language row; the version sits on one line
right after the GitHub link, ellipsized with a tooltip if it is long
- the desktop zoom control keeps its own row at the bottom
… slim scrollbars
- the primary is now the inverse of the page (white on dark, near-black
on light) for primary buttons, selected segments and switched-on
toggles; sky blue is the highlight for hover glows, focus rings, links
and active nav markers
- the wordmark strip drops its own glass and bottom rule, so it reads as
the first line of the sidebar
- custom scrollbars: no track, a slim pill that appears in a hovered
scroller, firms up under the pointer and turns sky while dragged
- the proxy control takes the React Bits Pro application-UI form: a
tinted frame with title and live status around an inset body with the
uptime and the restart and stop buttons; while the proxy runs a white
beam (Aceternity's moving border, in CSS) travels the body's edge
- foundations.md documents the v2 colour roles
… foot
- the active nav row's icon is white (the primary), not sky blue
- the primary button's hover dims it slightly and firms the top sheen;
the sky halo is gone, so sky stays for focus rings and links only
- theme, star, update and proxy restart/stop render as bare icons; a
soft plate (red for stop) appears only on hover. The phone top bar
keeps its bordered 44px targets
…r switch
- the proxy body was a pill because Tailwind's rounded-lg reads
--radius-lg, which the v1 tokens set to 20px; the panel, body and tray
buttons now use explicit radii (12/8/6px), and foundations.md warns off
rounded-xs/sm/lg in v2 code
- shadow-call sources drop their green-outlined pills; while the master
switch is off only the names dim, so the switches keep the same track
and knob as every other lever
…eets
- fourteen stylesheets imported by their components were unlayered, so
they outranked the bridge and every Tailwind utility (the sidebar strip
kept its rule, the section switcher stayed a pill). Each now wraps its
body in `@layer legacy`; ADR 0006 records the rule
- text fields, native selects and the custom select trigger become
rounded rectangles with a hairline border, a hover lift and a sky focus
ring; the sidebar language picker stays a bare row
- the section switcher is the segmented-control track, with the sliding
pill following the current page
- page tabs get the same 8px corners; empty states are a quiet framed
card instead of a dashed box; page intros use the v2 muted text
Each daily page (Models, Accounts, Subagents, Usage, Logs) gets its own
copy table under src/i18n/v2-pages/ (wired into all eleven locales) and
its own stylesheet under src/design/pages/ (bridge layer), so the pages
can be reworked in parallel without touching the same files.
- the page opens on three tiles (Codex first choice, model called first,
Claude Code pin) that jump to the control that changes them
- the featured order reads as a numbered, reorderable list with free slots
shown as empty rows; the model picker is a filterable list whose add
button turns into the inverse selected state
- delegation, Claude Code pin and workflow limits are settings panels with
one-line hints; the long explanations sit behind a "?" (tooltip or a
disclosure that keeps the text in the document)
- workflow limits get minus/plus steppers and a sticky save bar that says
whether anything is unsaved; the fallback poll interval uses the same
stepper
- the Claude Code pin and workflow limits move under Settings; every
setting, value and validation is unchanged
- Logs: one panel with a live status line, a quiet auto-refresh switch and a
single toolbar (conversation search, surface switch, a Filters disclosure
for provider/model/time/speed/status/protocol/intercepted, column toggles);
active filters show as removable chips with the match count and reset
- rows read time, status pill (tone from the shared outcome class),
provider · model with badges and request id, effort, tokens, speed, cost,
duration; the whole row opens the detail dialog, which keeps every section
- Debug: the four switches as a settings card, Claude inbound as a card, and
the stream as a live tail panel with stream switch, refresh and follow
- Storage: v2 page head, workspace and cleanup card repainted as hairline
cards with inset sections and a segmented tab track
Usage report: one toolbar row (source, window, custom interval as a
disclosure, hub scope when connected), then a hairline stat group with
sparklines (requests, tokens, estimated cost, coverage meter) and a
quiet line of secondary counts, then one large daily chart (bars on a
labelled axis for 7d/30d, calendar heatmap for available history and
custom intervals, switchable either way), then model and provider
tables with inline share bars and a stacked coverage meter. Loading,
empty and error states take the report's shape. The section strip is
gone; every section keeps its #usage-section-<id> anchor.
Menu bar & widget: connection status and install guide in one card,
the widget preview with its model toggles beside the display settings
grouped by menu bar, chart and popover; every setting is unchanged.
Components move to components/v2-usage and usage-companion-sections;
new copy lives in the usageV2 table for all 11 locales.
cd gui && npx tsc -b --pretty false — pass.
cd gui && bun run lint && bun run lint:i18n — pass.
cd gui && bun run test — 3,879 pass, 0 fail.
cd gui && NODE_PATH="$PWD/../.tmp/pr8105-wasi/node_modules" NAPI_RS_FORCE_WASI=error ROLLDOWN_WORKER_THREADS=1 RAYON_NUM_THREADS=1 bun run build — WASI fallback으로 통과. 이 macOS 호스트의 라이브러리 정책으로 native Rolldown binary는 차단됐습니다.
bun run typecheck, bun run structure:check, bun run privacy:scan — pass.
usage/server의 request-log 호출 테스트를 검색해 bun scripts/test.ts --dots 격리 환경에서 실행: 29파일 660 pass, 0 fail. 지정된 bun test tests/usage/request-log-normalization.test.ts와 file-size ratchet도 통과했습니다.
cd gui && npx --yes react-doctor@0.9.11 --verbose --scope changed --base origin/dev --no-telemetry — pass, no issues.
Maintainer integration into dev under MAINTAINERS.md (lidge-jun, admin; the owner delegated the decision to the coordinator).
Checked head: e3c585c; all 35 PR checks passed (ci, Ubuntu test 1/5–5/5, gates incl. GUI lint/typecheck/tests/privacy, react-doctor, docs site build, desktop shell, api usage); 0 unresolved review threads.
Owner design: revised to the owner's Paper file (sidebar menu search ⌘K / Ctrl+K with ⌘/⌥1–8 shortcuts and collapsible Fine-tuning, Home, Usage source dropdown with privacy-bounded client/device attribution — only a classified client enum is stored, never raw headers; legacy rows shown as unclassified). Paper↔implementation comparisons are linked in the summary comment.
Security review (dependency installation, server static serving): paid component registries removed from gui/components.json (registries: {}); new GUI deps (tailwindcss/@tailwindcss/vite 4.3.3, motion 14.9.0, @hugeicons/react 1.1.10, @tabler/icons-react 3.50.0, clsx 2.1.1, tailwind-merge 3.7.0, Geist/Wanted Sans fonts) are public npm packages pinned with sha512 integrity in gui/bun.lock; src/server/gui-static.ts only serves a nested index.html under the already traversal-checked resolveGuiFilePath result with the same session bootstrap. The Usage relay/filter changes passed independent security reviews in the revision lane (bounded body size, deadlines, no cross-key timing exposure).
Kept by owner decision: classic dashboard at /classic/ and the proxy lever. Not included: Paper's single-row native window chrome on Windows/Linux (three independent reviews failed; no safe same-URL document binding with current Tauri/Wry) — tracked as a follow-up; native title bars are unchanged.
Per CI policy macOS/Windows legs run after merge; the coordinator dispatches a dev lane=all run next.
Rebase onto design system v2 (lidge-jun#8105). Keep both additions in
gui/design-system/foundations.md. v2 brought back global WebKit scrollbar
painting in gui/src/design/bridge.css, which this patch exists to remove
so macOS can hide idle scrollbars and honor the Show scroll bars setting.
Remove that block too, and guard it with gui/tests/native-scrollbars.test.ts.

Summary
Redesigns the dashboard (
gui/) and the desktop app's own windows. Every page, route, setting and API call is kept; this is a visual, structural and information-architecture change, not a behaviour change. The one interaction that changed is how the sidebar's proxy actions are operated (see Proxy lever). The previous design stays available as a classic dashboard (see Classic dashboard). The onlysrc/change lets the proxy serve that second dashboard.Design system v2
theme, base, legacy, bridge, components, utilities,gui/src/design/theme.css). Every v1 sheet sits inlegacy;design/bridge.cssrepaints v1 classes with v2 tokens, so unmigrated markup already looks v2. Stylesheets imported by components now wrap themselves in@layer legacy(unlayered CSS outranked every layer). ADR 0006 records the decision.<select>outsideui.tsxand no unclassed text field (form-controls-rule), one switch spec (switch-rule), the control heights and row pairing (control-size-rule), and the "professional pass" (no pulses, gradients, oversized titles; quiet sidebar) (professional-rules).design-system/foundations.mddocuments each.Navigation and pages
Select(extended with disabled options, type-ahead, sizes,required/name). Copy for the new surfaces lives in per-page tables undergui/src/i18n/v2-pages/, wired into all 11 locales.Proxy lever
gui/src/components/ui-v2/proxy-lever.tsx). The lever is named by both actions and described by a localized hint.docs-sitenow names the dashboard's stop as the lever (desktop guide and the CLI lifecycle reference in all locales).Classic dashboard
/classic/. A clock icon beside the theme switch opens it, and its sidebar has New dashboard at the top of the foot to come back. The choice is remembered per browser (localStorageocx-ui), andindex.htmlforwards to/classic/before first paint, so the desktop app follows it too. The tray popover always uses the new design.gui/classic/srcholds only the 87 files the redesign modified, frozen atdevb7e01c16e(locale catalogues excluded: the redesign only added keys), plus that commit's stylesheets so CSS@importchains resolve.gui/vite.classic.config.tsresolves each import to the classic copy when one exists and togui/srcotherwise, so the classic UI shares the current API clients, hooks and locale catalogues.bun run buildnow also buildsgui/dist/classic.gui/classic/README.mdrecords the rules: no edits beyond the way back, and it is excluded from lint, react-doctor, the type check and the file-size ratchet (two old files are over the 2000-line cap).src/server/gui-static.ts: an extensionless path whose directory has its ownindex.htmlserves that file with the same session bootstrap. Every other extensionless path still falls back to the main dashboard (tests/gui/gui-static.test.ts).Desktop app
desktop/ui/) restyled with the same tokens and the new mark (Geist bundled offline). The Windows tray popover (#/tray) is a compact status panel. App and tray icons are redrawn from the new mark (desktop/src-tauri/icons/); the generator script reproduces the set.Brand
