Comment-only. desktop/ hits the two CI jobs that cannot run locally, so this goes through a PR per the merge rule.

Local gates: go build ./... 0, go vet 0 (both modules), desktop go test ./... -count=1 ok.

… (GDK-295)

The cold-start argv workaround existed because wails' default Linux host
never emits ApplicationLaunchedWithUrl. That hole is now filed and fixed
upstream as wailsapp/wails#6000 — runtime-proven A/B in a headless
container, GTK3 non-regression included. Point every comment that states
the hole at that number, and say what becomes possible when a pin
containing it lands: Linux moves to DeferToEvent like Windows.

… must fail fast and named (GDK-317) (#44)

Three runs died on the same step today (PR #43 twice, main 6295922 once),
and none of them in the tests: `npx playwright install-deps chromium` hung
with zero output from 07:35:54 until the step's 22-minute kill. The
download half has had bounded retries all along; the apt half was
deliberately unbounded, on the reasoning that a wrapper would replace a
named error with a generic one. Run 32228508406 measured the inversion:
the unbounded call is what produced the generic timeout.

Now both halves are bounded the same way — 420s (1.6x the slowest measured
healthy apt) twice, a lock re-wait between attempts, and a failure line
that still names which half died and why it is not the tests. Step budget
re-derived to 27 minutes so our own error always outruns the runner's.

FAIL-first is the measured hang itself; this cannot be reproduced locally
(ubuntu runner apt), which is why it goes through a PR.
