node-pcap only seeing local traffic #236
Description
Tried on both ethernet and wlan, OS X (MacBook) and Raspbian (RPI-3). When running a test script I am only seeing traffic on the local (eth0, wlan0) interfaces. Doesn't appear to be sniffing external traffic in promiscuous mode...Ideas?

Does tcpdump work? Ethernet Switches will only send you traffic designated for your machine, unless there is a way of reconfiguring it.
I use a old Ethernet Hub to connect my MacBook to other devices when trying inspect traffic designated for other devices.
