Yes, it was due to the cache scan. Now it shows the correct folder size in both places.
Anyways instead of the "NaN undefined" there should also be a "?".
And maybe it would be a good idea to show a tooltip when the "?" is shown indicating what "?" means (e.g. "Calculating, please wait")
Just found out that if you select a mountpoint (external storage) using the checkbox, which itself doesn't have a size, it will also show "NaN" in the header. This could be fixed here as well.

@schiesbn Can you have a look?
MorrisJobke commentedon Dec 8, 2013
@icewind1991 Could it be, that the cache scan isnt finished yet?
@Pro Is it now displayed correct? Or is it still a "?"

@Pro Yes. Now I see it. You mean the summary (I just not read it as accurate as I should :() Thanks.
PVince81 commentedon Dec 8, 2013
I guess we can make it a "?" if it is completely unknown.
If we have a few unknown values, we could show value + '+'.
Example:
Total size: 27+ MB
Not sure whether that makes sense ?

You could also consider showing a spinner (animated rotating circle) during cache scan instead of the "?"
schiessle commentedon Dec 9, 2013
I like the idea from @PVince81
Regarding the idea with the spinner, it is probably not possible for the background scanner to hook into the UI
MorrisJobke commentedon Dec 9, 2013
Concerning the spinner: I don't like it, because it attracts to much in relation to its importance. I'm fine with @PVince81 's approach
jancborchardt commentedon Dec 9, 2013
Yeah, seconding @PVince81, and I’m also against a spinner because it’s not that important.
@Pro nice username!

It seems there's another problem with the size calculation (on 6.0.1):

Here a sceenshot of the parent folder:
The value of 374,5MB is totally wrong, the folder is approx. 77GB.

Here a few subfolders:

Setting as junior job.
Should be a matter of adding a check in the code to display "Pending" instead of NaN in case where a size is not known.
karlitschek commentedon Dec 5, 2014
@PVince81 Is this still open?
PVince81 commentedon Dec 5, 2014
Yes, likely
PVince81 commentedon Aug 3, 2015
@Xenopathic didn't you fix something similar a while ago ?
RobinMcCorkell commentedon Aug 3, 2015
The only thing I could find was #12639, but that was for the modified date not the file size.
PVince81 commentedon Aug 17, 2015
Works properly on OC 8.0.6 and later. No more "NaN" but "Pending" appears.
