ApprovabilityVerdict: Not approved Macroscope's review found this PR not approvable — This XXL PR introduces two production provider integrations with subprocess/HTTP streaming, status discovery, text generation, configuration defaults, and cross-cutting registry behavior. It also adds a broad static-analysis suppression and has unresolved lifecycle and reliability findings requiring human validation. Not approved because:

existing Effect.tapError and Effect.onInterrupt handlers, and abort the request
controller in that finalizer. Keep the finalizer after Effect.tapError so decode
failures remain reported as failed while every exit closes the fetch and
response body.
In `@apps/server/src/provider/Layers/OllamaProvider.ts`:
- Around line 39-43: Update the `Effect.tryPromise` callback in the Ollama
provider’s probe to accept its supplied `AbortSignal` and pass it as the
`signal` option to `fetchImpl`, ensuring timeout or fiber interruption cancels
the in-flight request and releases the connection.
In `@apps/server/src/textGeneration/DevinTextGeneration.ts`:
- Around line 225-228: Update the buildBranchNamePrompt call in
DevinTextGeneration to pass input.policy, including its branchInstructions, so
configured branch naming policy is forwarded and honored.
- Line 133: In the Devin text-generation flow, check promptResult.stopReason for
cancellation before reading or decoding outputRef. Return the existing
cancellation/error outcome when stopReason is "cancelled", and only trim and
decode buffered output for non-cancelled results; update the method containing
the outputRef access.
In `@apps/server/src/textGeneration/OllamaTextGeneration.ts`:
- Around line 33-47: Update the Ollama chat request inside OllamaDriver.create
and its Effect.tryPromise callback to accept the provided AbortSignal, pass it
to fetchImpl, and apply a bounded timeout to the text-generation effect. Map
timeout or abort failures to TextGenerationError while preserving the existing
response handling.
- Around line 101-110: Update the generateBranchName implementation to pass
input.policy into buildBranchNamePrompt alongside message and attachments,
ensuring configured branchInstructions are included in Ollama branch-name
prompts.
In `@packages/client-runtime/src/state/server.ts`:
- Around line 464-467: Remove the Stream.concat and SubscriptionRef.get initial
emission in the state stream, using SubscriptionRef.changes(state) directly
before the existing filterMap. Update the related test to assert that an
unchanged initial configuration is emitted only once.

thanks for working on additional providers. we are closing this version because it combines two integrations with shared infrastructure changes, while the Ollama adapter does not yet deliver a coding-agent integration.
please propose the providers separately. Ollama needs workspace tools, continuity, and correct stream-error handling before being presented as supported. shared initialization concurrency changes and the cached-config replay change should also be separate proposals with their own justification; extracting the existing stream expression into a helper does not establish a replay fix. we welcome narrower replacement prs that address these requirements. closed at the request of @StiensWout. |
What Changed
Adds first-class Devin and Ollama provider integrations across the server, contracts, client runtime, web, desktop-wrapped web, and mobile surfaces.
Why
T3 Code users could not select Devin or Ollama as first-class providers. These adapters keep provider-specific complexity at the server boundary while preserving the existing shared orchestration and client contracts. The follow-up fixes align their lifecycle, cancellation, validation, and text-generation behavior with existing provider expectations.
UI Changes
The provider and settings selectors now include Devin and Ollama with their provider icons. Before/after screenshots are still pending.
