ApprovabilityVerdict: Not approved Macroscope's review found this PR not approvable — This opt-in feature expands automatic worktree cleanup to delete ignored paths declared in t3.json, including potentially sensitive or substantial directories that previously blocked removal. Although the default behavior remains unchanged, the destructive cleanup expansion warrants human review. You can add or adjust custom eligibility rules. Learn more. |

Suggested reviewers: Merge Risk: 🔵 Low · up to In a rare case, cleanup could delete an ignored file that the user just removed from the t3.json disposable list. Reloading the declarations before the final check closes the gap. Otherwise the change is safe to merge. Security Architecture ReviewSecurity architecture risk: 🟡 Moderate · up to Cleanup remains opt-in and constrained to managed worktrees, but repository declarations can now authorize deletion of ignored data. An in-flight cleanup can retain withdrawn declarations when its configuration file is itself ignored, leaving a bounded risk of irreversible data loss. Retained concerns

Problem
Automatic worktree cleanup refuses to remove a worktree when any gitignored entry other than a
node_modules/directory is present. That protects secrets and local data, but it makes cleanup a no-op for most non-Node stacks. In a real Laravel worktree every ignored entry is regenerated by the repository'st3.jsonsetup script (.env,vendor/,bootstrap/cache/packages.php,public/build/,storage/framework/views/x.php, …), yet no such worktree is ever removed.Change
t3.jsongets an optionalworktreeDisposablePathsarray of workspace-relative paths (trimmed, non-empty, ≤512 chars, ≤100 entries). Storage cleanup reads the worktree's ownt3.jsonthroughT3ProjectFileLoaderand treats an ignored entry as disposable when it equals a listed path or lies beneath it; trailing slashes do not matter. Both ignored-file checks (before eligibility and right before removal) share one pure predicate,storageCleanupIgnoredDisposable.node_modules/at any depth stays disposable, any other ignored entry still blocks removal, truncated output still blocks, and a missing or invalidt3.jsonkeeps today's behaviour. The field also appears in the generated JSON Schema served at https://t3.codes/schema/t3.json, and the storage cleanup section of the project settings guide mentions it.It is a file-only field, not a project setting override: only the repository knows which of its ignored paths its setup recreates, and a list of paths does not fit the scalar inherit chain of
PROJECT_FILE_BACKED_SETTINGS.Scope and approval
Focused configuration option for an established capability. Automatic worktree cleanup already exists and already treats some ignored paths (
node_modules/) as reproducible. This option only lets a repository widen that set, opt-in, in its own checked-int3.json. Policies, eligibility rules, safety checks (sessions, terminals, uncommitted changes, HEAD, outbox) and defaults are unchanged, and nothing changes for a repository that does not set the field.Verification
