The same Antigravity subscription appears twice when signed in independently on two computers. Its identity was derived from the refresh token, which differs per sign-in, and Antigravity does not publish an auth email for the existing account grouping to use.

Use a SHA-256 hash of Google's stable UserInfo subject as the quota account fingerprint. The existing shared grouping then shows one subscription, retains computer-a, computer-b, and counts each quota window once on web, desktop, and mobile. Cache the identity per credential and clear it on credential changes or sign-out. If UserInfo fails, keep reporting quotas with the existing credential fingerprint and retry identity lookup on the next probe.

This is a small fix for an obvious defect in the usage support added by #17530. No UI or wire schema changes.

Verification:

  • The probe-to-pool regression failed twice before the fix: expected one subscription, received two. It now passes with separate refresh tokens for the same Google subject, both computer labels, and one member in each of the four quota windows.
  • vp test run apps/server/src/provider/antigravityUsageLimits.test.ts packages/shared/src/usageLimits.test.ts packages/provider-core/src/server/usageLimits.test.ts: 62 tests passed. Includes distinct accounts, identity caching across access-token expiry, credential changes, sign-out, and failed or malformed identity lookups.
  • Targeted TypeScript check for the two changed files, targeted lint, formatting check, and git diff --check passed.
  • Confirmed the existing local Antigravity sign-in can call Google's UserInfo endpoint: HTTP 200 with a nonempty subject. Credential files were read only, and no tokens or account identifiers were printed.

Browser rendering and a live two-computer session were not exercised. If identity lookup is unavailable, independent sign-ins retain separate entries until it succeeds.

Model: gpt-6.1-sol. Harness: Codex in T3 Code.

Approvability

Verdict: Not approved

Macroscope's review found this PR not approvable — The fix is narrowly scoped and well tested, but it adds an always-on Google UserInfo request using the OAuth access token and changes cross-environment account identity grouping. Because this introduces authentication-sensitive runtime behavior and identity correlation, human review is warranted.

📝 Walkthrough

Walkthrough

The Antigravity usage-limit probe now looks up and hashes Google account identity separately from token credentials. Returned quota limits use that account fingerprint when available. Tests cover identity caching, credential changes, failed lookups, and aggregation of environments sharing one Google account.

The probe validates Google’s sub, hashes it for an account fingerprint, and tracks that identity separately from token credentials. It clears cached identity when credentials change or are cleared. Returned limits use the account fingerprint when available and otherwise use the credential fingerprint.

Account collation across computers should work. If the identity lookup keeps failing, usage-limit refreshes may be a little slower, but quotas are still reported. Consider a short negative cache for failed lookups.

Security Architecture Review

Security architecture risk: 🔵 Low · up to ef496

The identity lookup uses a fixed Google endpoint, bounded requests, and hashed account identifiers without changing authentication authority. A narrow concurrency issue can nevertheless associate one account’s quotas with another account’s identity during credential replacement.

Retained concerns

  • Low · security · inferred: Overlapping probes during credential replacement can persistently misbind account identity. Probe A can finish its UserInfo lookup while probe B, using new credentials, awaits token refresh. Credential replacement does not advance generation, so A can repopulate the cache. B then reuses account.fingerprint without verifying its credentialFingerprint and stores A’s identity under B’s credential. Subsequent probes can attach B’s quotas and computer labels to A’s account until invalidation. Explicit sign-out guards and managed-refresh serialization limit exposure, but independent session-start probes can overlap. The base returned each probe’s locally computed credential fingerprint and lacked this shared identity reuse path.
Security review details

Security Blast Radius

  • inferred — The identified race affects a probe instance’s cached account association and the usage views of connected environments consuming its reports. It requires overlapping probes and credential replacement. The inspected flow does not demonstrate access to previously inaccessible accounts, credential extraction, or additional execution privileges.

Security Findings and Attack Paths

  • inferred — A pending lookup for account A can repopulate shared identity state during account B’s token refresh. B can then reuse and retain A’s fingerprint, causing distinct accounts to merge in quota views. This introduced identity-integrity path is supported by control flow, but was not reproduced in a live concurrent session and does not establish an authorization bypass.

Trust Boundaries and Controls

  • observed — Local credentials supply authority for requests to fixed Google endpoints; callers do not select the UserInfo destination. HTTPS, manual redirects, successful-status filtering, subject validation, domain-prefixed hashing, and bounded requests constrain the new identity transition. The hash remains a stable correlatable account pseudonym, consistent with cross-computer grouping.

Resilience and Maintainability Implications

  • observed — Explicit clearing invalidates both caches and advances generation. Provider sign-out clears published usage and advances authRevision; publication checks reject stale work across that transition. Managed refresh serialization does not cover the separate session-start probe path, leaving credential replacement as a distinct ownership transition.

Hardening Proposals

  • proposed — Bind identity reuse and asynchronous commits to a credential version that advances on credential replacement and clearing. Revalidate the binding after token refresh, and add an interleaving regression where an older UserInfo lookup completes during a newer credential’s refresh.

237-253: 🚀 Performance & Scalability | 🔵 Trivial | ⚡ Quick win

Identity lookup failure is retried on every probe, with up to 3 seconds of added latency each time.

If the userinfo request fails, account stays undefined. Every later probe repeats the lookup before the quota fetch. The PR states that retry is intended. The read effect still has a 30 second overall timeout. A userinfo endpoint that hangs adds 3 seconds to each probe. The scope-limited access_token may also lack the userinfo scope. In that case the lookup fails on every probe, and the extra request is permanent.

Consider a short negative cache keyed by the credential fingerprint. For example, skip retries for a few minutes after a failure. This is optional if the added latency is acceptable.
