#22907 recreates scripts/install.test.ts for its own installer case, so the two PRs no longer collide on one new file. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

The install scripts read one page of 100 GitHub releases, so a stable install failed once 100 nightlies were newer than the latest stable release. Stable now reads github.com/<repo>/releases/latest as JSON. release.yml marks only plain stable releases latest, and this page is not under the anonymous API quota. Nightly and preview page the releases API, up to 10 pages. Co-authored-by: Victor Vogel <satsdev@only21mil.xyz> Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

The default install fails with
could not find a stable release; set T3CODE_VERSIONonce 100 nightlies are newer than the latest stable release.install.shandinstall.ps1read one page of 100 GitHub releases, and nightlies ship a few times a day.Takeover of #22490 by @only21mil, who found and reported the bug and wrote the first fix. For stable, the install scripts now read
https://github.com/pingdotgg/t3code/releases/latestwithAccept: application/json.release.ymlmarks a release latest only for plainX.Y.Z, and this is a github.com page, so newer nightlies cannot hide it and it does not use the anonymous API quota. The stable tag pattern still applies to the result. For nightly and preview, the scripts page the releases API, up to 10 pages, and stop on an empty page. The newest nightly is always on page 1. Preview can sit behind a page of nightlies.install.shpasses the header to both curl and wget. Nothing reads npm. Not changed:t3 updatealready pages the API up to 10 pages, and the mobile update check already uses/releases/lateston main. The desktop app (electron-updater) and the marketing download page are not affected.T3CODE_VERSIONstill skips the lookup.Proof:
scripts/install.test.tsruns the realinstall.shagainst a local GitHub fixture with 100 nightlies on page 1. Stable must resolve from/releases/latest, and preview must resolve from page 2. Both cases fail with main's installer and pass here. I ranvp test run scripts/install.test.tsandvp run check:changed(all pass). I also raninstall.shagainst live GitHub with curl and with wget only. Stable resolved to 0.1.1, and nightly and preview resolved to the newest builds. I ran theinstall.ps1lookup block in pwsh 7.6.7 against live GitHub and the same fixture: all three channels resolved, and a missing preview stopped on the empty page. Not checked: Windows PowerShell 5.1, and a real archive download.Closes #22490
