Discovered via #2207

Minimal reprex:

d <- data.frame(x = 1, y = 1)

p <- ggplot(d, aes(x, y)) +
  geom_area() +
  geom_point()

ggplotly(p)
#> Warning in min(diff(unique_loc)) :
#>   no non-missing arguments to min; returning Inf
#> Error in order(dat[["x"]]) : argument 1 is not a vector
