PR #1861 merged to develop as ccaf61c: dotnet-codestyle now states IsAotCompatible unconditionally and VerifyReferenceAotCompatibility only in a PublishAot-conditioned property group, placed in the .csproj after it sets PublishAot or in Directory.Build.targets, never Directory.Build.props. Fixes #1857 on promotion (the PR carries Closes on promotion: #1857). One Copilot finding (rationale overclaimed for a global -p:PublishAot) fixed in c5d3b81 and resolved. Worktree, local branch, and remote branch removed. Nothing else filed.
