Cannot configure GLog using pod install under linux

This line fails to complete (cannot configure GLog) under linux when running on CI servers. This may or may not be a bug depending on whether different host OSs are supported for running pod install on react-native applications:

This is related to #14326 in the sense that it addresses that issue, but in doing so, it breaks platform independence.
