misleading coverage reports

codecov is flagging the changes in #3346 , which corrects a few typos, as having "0% coverage". Clearly there is something wrong with how codecov is calculating coverage. Is this something we can fix on our side?

The single line of code I modified to fix the typo raises en exception. It's probably not covered by a test, so I suspect it's not really a false positive.

I think you need to modify codecov.yml:

    patch:
      default:
        informational: true

yes but your change did not reduce coverage, since that exception was not covered before. this seems like the important metric.

It looks like there are two metrics, project, the one you're interested in, and patch, which should remain informational:
