Locality domain (LD) support for the KV cache on the C++ KVCacheManagerV2, plus the two-stream attention path. Supersedes #18919 and #19336: #19154 removed the Python KVCM backend those targeted.

Description

A locality domain is one half of a Rubin GPU with its own physical memory. A request's KV cache lives in one domain and its attention runs on that domain's stream.

  • Two-stream attention (attention/backends/trtllm.py): one attention call per domain on that domain's stream, with per-domain workspaces, block offsets and MLA generation state. TRTLLM_LOCALITY_DOMAIN_TWO_STREAM_ATTN=0 serializes the domains for debugging.
  • Runtime wiring: requests get a domain (request_id % N) and are kept domain-contiguous in the decoder runner; attn_metadata carries the per-domain split points; CUDA graph warmup adds a max-length dummy per domain; the cuBLAS wrapper is keyed by CUcontext.
  • C++ KVCacheManagerV2 (the [None][fix] Track KV cache locality in slot metadata #19336 design):
    • Slot carries its domain as metadata; slot ids stay global, so base + slotSize * id is unchanged for kernels, the cold-page codec and disaggregation.
    • One physical chunk pool per domain (LocalizationHandle placement, or plain device memory in mock mode); VirtMem maps chunks at explicit offsets of one reservation.
    • SlotIdMap and one SlotAllocator per domain share a pool group's slot-id space in chunks aligned to physical granularity in every pool (lcm over pools of physMemSize / gcd(physMemSize, slotSize)).
    • Allocation, eviction, migration, prefetch, resume, shrink and resize are per domain. Each domain gets an equal share of the quota, from the raw quota at init and on resize.
    • ReuseScope.localityDomainId is part of the block key; scopes without a domain hash exactly as before.
    • Manager API: num_locality_domains, get_per_locality_domain_free_slots(), get_mapped_buffer_views(), PoolDesc.mapped_ranges.
  • Disaggregated transfer registers only mapped pool ranges for localized pools.
  • GpuCacheTierConfig.enable_locality_domains, driven by the existing TorchLlmArgs.enable_locality_domains. TRT_LLM_MOCK_LOCALIZATION_SUPPORT (unset = probe, 0 = off, 1 = two mock domains) splits the KV cache on any GPU without forking streams.

With the flag off nothing changes: single domain, no eviction filter, the previous VA layout, sizing and disaggregated registration.

Tradeoff: prefix reuse is per domain. A page cached in domain 0 is not reusable by a request in domain 1 without a cross-half copy, so the domain is part of every block key. Hot prefixes can be cached twice. Prefix-aware domain selection is a wrapper-only follow-up.

Limits of the partitioned attention path (raised as errors): beam width > 1, cross attention, helix, custom attention mask data, sparse attention indices, MRoPE outside the mixed input type. Generation rows are split by position, not by owning domain, so a decode row can run on the other domain's stream; correct, with locality lost for that row. Draft sub-forwards without a separate draft KV cache run unpartitioned unless the worker opts in (MTP and Eagle3 linear do).

Not included: locality-domain weight sharding, tracked by #19272.

Test Coverage

  • cpp/tests/unit_tests/batch_manager/kvCacheManagerV2LocalityTest.cpp: slot map and per-domain allocators; under the mock: domain count, per-domain free slots, page-index upper bound, reuse isolation, per-domain and manager-level resize, quota sharing and round trip, per-domain utilization, hash stability for domain-less scopes.
  • tests/unittest/kv_cache_manager_v2_tests/test_kv_cache_localization.py and test_kv_cache_localization_wrapper.py: binding behavior; draft mirror, prefetch and probe scopes carry the domain.
  • tests/unittest/_torch/attention/test_locality_domain_partitions.py (CPU): opt-out gate, scoped metadata counts, side-input rejection, MRoPE slicing, slice coverage check.
  • tests/unittest/_torch/executor/test_locality_domain_dispatch.py (CPU): balanced split per occurrence, ownership split and its positional fallback.
  • test_kv_cache_salting.py, disaggregated/region/test_page.py, disaggregated/test_extractor.py, executor/kv_cache/test_kv_cache_v2_scheduler.py, executor/test_pytorch_model_engine.py: scope keys, mapped ranges, same-domain preemption, warmup split.
  • tests/integration/defs/kv_cache/test_stream_localization_e2e.py: localized vs baseline equivalence on Qwen3-4B, Rubin only.

Verification on Rubin (NVL72, SM 10.7, CUDA 13.4, built with 107-real), before the last three commits:

  • gtests pass with and without the mock. kv_cache_manager_v2_tests 338 passed, 12 skipped; executor/kv_cache identical to an upstream/main baseline (same 53 pre-existing failures).
  • Real localization: 2 domains reported, per-domain free slots move independently.
  • test_stream_localization_e2e.py on Qwen3-4B: 2 passed, outputs identical at temperature 0, log shows the 94 + 94 SM split.

The last three commits (self-review fixes) are covered by 399 passing CPU unit tests on x86, and the rebuilt head passes kvCacheManagerV2{Locality,SlotAllocator,Stats,Config}Test on Rubin in both real and mock mode (14 locality tests, including the four new ones). Still to run on Rubin: test_kv_cache_localization_wrapper.py, the e2e test on this head, and an MTP run for the per-domain spec-decode slicing.

Performance (trtllm-bench throughput, 1 GPU, 512 requests, CUDA graphs on, identical KV capacity in both modes):

Model ISL/OSL concurrency LD off req/s LD on req/s delta
Qwen3-4B BF16 1024/128 16 33.65 26.69 -20.7%

gpt-oss-120b MXFP4 32768/8192 32 0.337 0.313 -7.0%

The 32k/8k rows are 64 requests, one run per GPU on the same node, on the current head (after the self-review fixes); the log confirms the 94 + 94 SM split and no partition-path errors. The other rows predate the fixes.

nsys on Qwen3-4B, c=64, ISL 1024 (--cuda-graph-trace=node, decode FMHA, medians):

LD off LD on
decode attention kernels per layer 1 2, one per domain stream, ~1 µs apart
attention wall per layer 41.4 µs 40.4 µs (overlapping)
per-kernel duration 41 µs on all SMs 40 µs on 94 SMs, half the batch
layer-to-layer period 108.5 µs 115.9 µs

The domain kernels overlap as designed, but a half-batch kernel on half the SMs takes as long as the full kernel on all SMs, and the split adds about 7 µs per layer. Decode attention is SM-bound at these sizes, so locality has nothing to give back.

gpt-oss-120b at ISL 32k, c=16 (16 requests, OSL 256 capture) is the bandwidth-heavy case: each dense layer reads about 1 GB of KV per decode step. The dense decode kernel's median is 112.6 µs with LD off and 114.4 µs per domain with LD on, i.e. half the batch from one half's memory takes as long as the whole batch from both. Localized placement does not add aggregate bandwidth, and the default interleaved placement shows no cross-half penalty to recover, so the two-domain split does not pay here either. The feature is off by default.

Rebase of the non-KV-cache-manager part of NVIDIA#18919 onto main.

- attention/backends/trtllm.py: partition a batch by locality domain and run
one attention call per domain on its own stream; per-domain workspaces,
block offsets and MLA generation state; TRTLLM_LOCALITY_DOMAIN_TWO_STREAM_ATTN
  serializes the domains for debugging.
- thop/attentionOp, nanobind: locality_domain_id selects a per-domain op.
- thop/cublasScaledMM: key the cuBLAS wrapper by CUcontext, since each
domain runs under its own green context.
- engine/runners/decoder/runner.py (was model_engine.py): assign requests
to domains, keep per-domain contiguous request order, carry split points on
attn_metadata, and give each domain a max-length dummy request during
  CUDA graph warmup.
- py_executor, llm_request, speculative: propagate locality_domain_id.
- llm_args: enable_locality_domains.
- kv_cache_manager_v2 wrapper: pass the domain to the backend when the
binding accepts it. The C++ KV cache manager does not implement locality
domains yet; that lands in the following commits.

The Python KV cache manager changes of NVIDIA#18919 are not carried over because

No behavior change unless GpuCacheTierConfig.enableLocalityDomains is set.

- GpuCacheTierConfig.enableLocalityDomains; StorageManager resolves the
domain count at construction (1 when disabled or unsupported, otherwise the
device count) and KvCacheManager::numLocalityDomains() exposes it.
- ReuseScope.localityDomainId joins the reuse key: a third optional field
serialized under mask bit 2, so scopes without a domain hash exactly as
  before.
- Slot carries the domain whose physical memory backs it; it travels with
  move and exchangeSlot.
- KvCache::localityDomainId() reads it from the reuse scope; createKvCache
  range-checks it.
- TRT_LLM_MOCK_LOCALIZATION_SUPPORT is read in C++ with the same semantics
as the former Python backend: unset probes, 0 disables, 1 mocks two
  domains.
- nanobind: GpuCacheTierConfig(quota, enable_locality_domains),
ReuseScope(lora_id, salt, locality_domain_id) with tuple shape unchanged
when no domain is set, kv_cache.locality_domain_id,
  manager.num_locality_domains; .pyi updated.

… manager v2

Storage layer for locality domains. The single-domain path keeps its
contiguous mapping and slot ids; only localized GPU storage takes the new
paths.

- PooledPhysMemAllocator holds one chunk pool per locality domain. Real
localized allocations come from LocalizationHandle with an allocation
property every domain accepts and a chunk size rounded to every domain's
granularity; mock mode backs each domain with ordinary device memory.
- VirtMem keeps one mapping stack per domain and maps chunks at explicit
  byte offsets, rejecting overlap, misalignment and out-of-range offsets;
mappedRanges() reports the merged mapped extents.
- SlotIdMap maps an allocator's local indices onto chunks of a slot-id space
shared by all domains of a pool group, so slot ids stay plain global
indices and slotAddress() remains base + slotSize * id for every consumer.
SlotAllocator takes an optional map and domain and stamps the domain on
  the slots it issues.
- GpuPoolGroup owns one allocator per domain, hands out chunks from a shared
free list, resizes a domain's backing transactionally, and reports usable
slot ranges. The chunk size is the lcm over the group's pools of
physMemSize / gcd(physMemSize, slotSize), so a chunk boundary is physically
  aligned in every pool.
- GpuCacheLevelStorage splits the level's slot budget evenly across domains.
Statistics sum across domains; numSlots() reports domain 0.
- Page-index upper bound and PoolGroupDesc.numSlots use the slot index upper
bound, and PoolDesc gains mappedRanges for consumers that walk whole pools.

…d resize in KVCM v2

Routes every GPU slot operation through the request's locality domain and
exposes the per-domain capacity the runtime needs. Non-localized behavior is
unchanged: the domain resolves to 0 and no eviction filter is applied.

- newSlots / newSlotsForPoolGroup / prepareFreeSlots / prefetch /
  batchedMigrate take the domain. On a localized GPU tier it is required;
host and disk tiers ignore it, so a GPU allocation that spills to host
  keeps working.
- Eviction accepts a domain filter: only pages whose slot lives in the
target domain are counted as evictable or evicted, in eviction order.
- Migration onto the GPU draws destination slots from the request's domain;
the source slot is released to the allocator that issued it, so pages
loaded back during resume, lock-to-GPU and prefetch land in the right
  domain instead of domain 0.
- Resize runs per domain: shrink classifies overflow by the domain's local
slot index and defragments within the domain; adjustCacheLevel splits the
level's slot budget across domains before shrinking and expanding each.
- KvCache passes its domain at every allocation and migration site.
- New manager API: getPerLocalityDomainFreeSlots() (a current-capacity
query, not a reset-on-read statistic) and getMappedBufferViews(), the
contiguous mapped extents of a buffer for whole-pool scans.
- The Python wrapper now relies on the binding: ReuseScope carries the
domain, GpuCacheTierConfig takes enable_locality_domains, and the
invalid-value scan builds its views from get_mapped_buffer_views instead
  of reaching into manager internals.

Signed-off-by: Faraz Khoubsirat <58580514+farazkh80@users.noreply.github.com>
- kvCacheManagerV2LocalityTest (gtest): SlotIdMap round trips, mapped
allocators issue disjoint global ids and stamp their domain, foreign-domain
release is rejected, shrink accounts by local index; under
TRT_LLM_MOCK_LOCALIZATION_SUPPORT=1, a manager reports two domains only
when enabled, tracks free slots per domain, bounds page indices across both
domains, keeps prefix reuse within a domain, resizes domains independently,
and hashes domain-less reuse scopes exactly as before.
- test_kv_cache_localization.py: the former Python-backend test, rewritten
against the binding (locality_domain_id on the reuse scope and KV cache,
per-domain free slots, page index upper bound, mapped buffer views, reuse
  isolation, suspend/resume).
- test_kv_cache_salting.py: the locality domain is part of the scope key and a
scope without one keeps its two-field key.
- test_pytorch_model_engine.py: the CUDA graph warmup split test targets the
decoder runner, where the warmup request builder now lives.
- test_stream_localization_e2e.py: drop the Python-backend override; the C++
  manager is the only backend.

…nsfer

A localized V2 pool maps each locality domain's chunks at distinct offsets
of one reservation, so the slot-index upper bound spans unmapped holes.
Registering base + num_slots * stride as one region would hand unbacked
memory to NIXL.

PhysicalPool carries the pool's mapped byte ranges (None when the whole
extent is backed), the V2 extractor fills them from PoolDesc.mapped_ranges,
and get_unique_pool_memory_descs registers each backed range on its own,
keeping the existing dedup of interleaved state-pool views. Wire format is
unchanged for pools without holes.

…ontract

- Slot counts for a localized GPU tier are derived from an equal share of
the quota (rounded down to the physical granularity) at initialization and
on resize, instead of sizing the whole tier and halving afterwards. Each
domain rounds its own backing up to the granularity, so the old split
could exceed the quota (e.g. 6 MiB quota, 2 MiB grains, 16 KiB slots:
192 slots per domain mapped 4 MiB each). The feasibility floor now applies
per domain, which is where a request has to fit.
- createKvCache requires a locality domain when the manager has more than
one and rejects one otherwise, matching the Python wrapper.
- Locality gtest: reject a foreign handle without stranding the real slot,
and cover both sides of the creation contract.

Signed-off-by: Faraz Khoubsirat <58580514+farazkh80@users.noreply.github.com>
…resize

Construction sizes a localized GPU tier from roundDown(quota / N, grain);
adjustCacheLevel rounded the requested quota up to a grain first, so the
same 7 MiB request gave each domain 2 MiB at init and 4 MiB on resize.
Resize now takes its share from the requested quota (or the current total
when none is given) exactly as construction does. The single-domain path
is unchanged.

Adds a mock-mode gtest that constructs with 6/7/8 MiB and resizes through
8/7/6 MiB, checking the per-domain slot count and free slots each time.

Page::~Page and UncommittedPage::convertToCommitted transfer a slot by
copying only its id into a fresh Slot. Without the domain the release
routes to domain 0's allocator, which rejects the foreign id, poisons the
manager from the destructor, and strands the slot in its real domain.

Found by running kvCacheManagerV2LocalityTest on a Rubin host under
TRT_LLM_MOCK_LOCALIZATION_SUPPORT=1: FreeSlotsAreTrackedPerDomain ended two
slots short and the three following tests failed on the poison latch. All
ten cases pass in both modes with this change.

…lity_domains

Executor unit tests build KVCacheManagerV2 with object.__new__ and no impl;
reading self.impl there raised AttributeError from every path that asks for
the domain count (invalid-value scan, request domain lookup). Fall back to
one domain when impl is absent, as the original wrapper did.

Also give the budget-split test's hand-built creator the llm_args fields
main's cost path reads, so the test passes again.

Verified on Rubin against the rebuilt wheel: executor/kv_cache now matches
the upstream/main baseline (1069 passed, 53 pre-existing failures from
stand-ins out of sync with main), test_kvcm2_integration and
test_kv_cache_localization pass.

…ain in KVCM v2

adjustCacheLevel compared every domain against domain 0's capacity, so after a
partially failed or divergent resize a domain could be skipped or driven in the
wrong direction; each (pool group, domain) pair now decides from its own
capacity and the direction checks in expand/shrinkPoolGroup are always on.
The resume utilization guard reads the cache's own domain instead of the sum.
totalQuota rounds each domain's backing separately so a getQuota/adjust round
trip no longer drops a slot when the slot size does not divide the granularity.
A localized secondary GPU tier is rejected because allocation on non-hot levels
always targets domain 0. Also restores the single-domain slotAddress debug
bound, drops the write-only mRequestedNumSlots, destroys the slot allocators
before their SlotIdMaps, and corrects the mock-mode comment.

…tention metadata consistent

The partition gate and the MLA per-domain state hook ignored
metadata.locality_domain_enabled, so draft sub-forwards that cleared the flag
still split. The scoped metadata view set num_contexts through its setter,
whose on_update recomputed generation and token counts from the full batch;
the private count fields are now overridden directly and restored in finally.
Per-request side inputs the kernels index by row are sliced per domain (MRoPE
cos/sin by context token row, position deltas and spec-decode fields by
generation batch index, softmax statistics scattered back), each domain gets
its own trtllm-gen tree mask buffer since prepareCustomMask writes from offset
0, and beam search, cross attention, helix, custom mask data and sparse indices
raise instead of reading another domain's rows. Draft sub-forwards without a
separate draft manager run unpartitioned unless the worker opted in, and a
host-side check before the fork verifies the domain slices tile the batch.

…e creation and probe

Draft-mirror creation, disk prefetch and the reuse probes built domainless
reuse scopes, which a localized manager rejects at creation and which never
match domain-keyed blocks when probing; they now use the request's domain,
and the router probe without a request takes the best match over domains.
The balanced generation split was keyed by request id, so repeated CUDA-graph
padding dummies collapsed into one entry and the per-domain counts no longer
matched the padded row count; the split is now computed per occurrence over
the packed extend, first_draft, generation list, falling back to positional
when ownership order is not contiguous. Fork-join attention additionally
requires the locality domain runtime, so mock localization keeps a split KV
cache without forking streams and a disabled runtime with the flag on fails
at init. Preemption only picks victims in the requesting domain, the guard
page is skipped on localized managers, non-localized pools no longer report
mapped ranges for disaggregated registration, and the duplicate
enable_locality_domains field on BaseLlmArgs plus the duplicated GMS guard
are removed.

Fork-join gating ignores unsupported domain counts silently.

self._fork_join_attn is set only when enable_locality_domains is True and num_locality_domains > 1. If the device is enabled and num_locality_domains is 3 or more, the assert fires with a bare AssertionError. Asserts are stripped under python -O. A user-config error should raise ValueError.

Proposed fix
-                assert self.num_locality_domains == 2, (
- "fork-join attention supports exactly 2 locality domains; "

Missing test coverage for the new fork-join and mock-localization init branches.

The new init logic has three outcomes. Two domains with a supported device set _fork_join_attn. TRT_LLM_MOCK_LOCALIZATION_SUPPORT=1 keeps one stream. An unsupported device raises RuntimeError. A domain count other than 2 triggers the assert.

The error and fallback paths can regress without a test. Add a unit test in tests/unittest/_torch/executor/ that patches is_locality_domain_enabled and num_locality_domains. Cover three cases:

  • fork_join_attn is True.
  • Mock mode logs and keeps fork_join_attn False.
  • The RuntimeError is raised when localization is requested but unsupported.

The test must also be listed in tests/integration/test_lists/test-db/l0_cpu.yml or l0_h100.yml, or covered by a listed parent directory.

Restore target metadata before the RuntimeError is raised, and ensure patches are restored if patch_locality_metadata fails.

The setup code between prepare_attn_metadata_for_draft_replay and the try/finally at Line 3262 is not protected. Two paths are affected:

  • When draft_locality_domain_block_offsets is None, the code calls restore_attn_metadata_after_draft_replay and raises. This path is correct. It also leaves no patched locality attributes, because patch_locality_metadata('locality_domain_enabled', False) is not called on that branch.
  • If an earlier patch_locality_metadata call succeeds and a later setup step raises, the attributes are not restored. Today only one patch happens per branch, so this is not reachable. It becomes a latent leak if a second patch is added.

The current behavior is correct. Moving the whole setup into the try block would remove the latent leak and the duplicated restore call.

Concrete risk to check: the new test test_draft_context_without_manager_disables_partitioning covers only the draft_kv_cache_manager is None branch. The separate-draft-cache branches have no direct test in the shown context. These are the opt-in swap of locality_domain_kv_cache_block_offsets, the unsupported-manager disable, and the missing-offsets RuntimeError. Add a unit test for each, using SimpleNamespace metadata and a TrtllmAttentionMetadata stub.

🚀 Performance & Scalability | 🟠 Major | 🏗️ Heavy lift

Rewrite domain-filtered eviction so it does not rescan the queue for every evicted page.

With localityDomainId, each pass of the while loop creates a new policy.pageGenerator() and scans from the queue head. Pages of other domains are skipped again on every pass. Evicting k pages from a queue of n pages therefore costs O(k·n). Consider a large reuse cache where the target domain's pages sit behind the other domain's pages: 100k entries and k=1000 gives about 1e8 iterations under the exclusive API lock.

numEvictablePages(pgIdx, domain) also walks the whole queue. _prepareFreeSlots calls it once per pool group. KvCache::resume reaches it on every resume, through getUtilization → getStatistics. On a localized tier, every admission therefore pays O(n).

Fix the eviction loop with one pass that collects the candidates and then removes them. For the count, keep a per-domain counter in PrioritizedEvictionPolicy. Update the counter in push, pop and remove.

Reject FlashMLA for locality-domain partitions.

_locality_domain_metadata sets block_ids_per_seq to None, and _attention_partitions applies that view while selecting and running FMHA. FallbackFmha forwards the value to thop.attention, where it supplies the FlashMLA layout. Reject this configuration until a per-domain block table is provided.

The num_seqs and seq_lens_cuda claim does not apply to the FMHA dispatch shown here. num_seqs remains full-batch, but mla_prepare_scheduler_buffers is not called by this FMHA path.

Update _check_locality_domain_side_inputs to reject locality-domain partitions
when metadata.enable_flash_mla is true, adding FlashMLA to the existing
unsupported-configuration handling before the partition uses the view with
block_ids_per_seq set to None.

Preserve the incoming query offsets for each locality-domain partition.

For non-FP4 mixed batches, prompt_lengths_cpu can describe full context lengths for generation requests, while forward_args.cu_q_seqlens describes offsets in the packed Q rows. Rebuilding the latter from prompt lengths can give FallbackFmha incorrect Q segment boundaries.

For mixed batches, combine the context and generation slices because each domain's request ranges are separate in the full batch. For context-only or generation-only batches, use _slice_cu_seqlens directly. Do not use FP4 MLA as the example: Fp4MlaFmha.run_mla_generation does not consume forward_args.cu_q_seqlens.

Update the `cu_q_seqlens` override in the locality-domain slicing path to
preserve offsets from `forward_args.cu_q_seqlens` rather than rebuilding them
from `prompt_lengths_cpu`. Use `_slice_cu_seqlens` for context-only and
generation-only batches; for mixed batches, slice the context and generation
request ranges and concatenate them with generation offsets shifted by the
context slice’s final offset.

Zero the per-domain fmha_scheduler_counter before dispatch.

The mla_state branch zeroes its counter in _prepare_locality_domain_mla_gen_state_from_full. This fallback branch uses torch.empty_like, so the counter starts with uninitialized memory. The full-batch path also zeroes the counter before the FMHA launch (forward_args.fmha_scheduler_counter.zero_()). A persistent tile scheduler that starts from a non-zero counter skips work tiles. The skipped tiles leave output rows unwritten or wrong.

Use latent_cache for the token count.

When locality domains use more than one domain, the code reads fused_q.shape[0]. The KV-only path can pass fused_q=None, which raises AttributeError.

Disable context-graph promotion for locality-domain fork-join batches.

When locality-domain fork-join is active, _make_single_token_context_graph_batch moves context requests into the graph batch's generation_requests. _prepare_inputs then sorts those rows by locality domain. _forward_decoder still applies post-processors and sampling using the original semantic batch, which expects context rows first and generation rows second. The sampler can therefore consume logits for a different request and assign the wrong token.

Disable promotion for this mode so the existing locality-domain ordering applies to the same batch used by sampling.

Include locality_domain_id in router V2 hashes.

BlockHashMixin._compute_block_hashes creates ReuseScope(salt=cache_salt_id) without a locality domain. A localized engine scope produces different root and block keys, so V2 cache-aware routing can miss those entries.

Pass the request domain into the router scope, or explicitly disable hash-based routing when locality domains are enabled. Extend the hashing tests to cover the three-field scope and compare router-generated hashes with the engine keys.

Register the new Rubin end-to-end test in a CI test list, or confirm that it is QA-only.

No CI test list under tests/integration/test_lists/test-db/ references integration/defs/kv_cache/test_stream_localization_e2e.py. l0_h100.yml does not list it, and skip_no_rubin skips it on H100 in any case. If no list references the test, the generation-equivalence check never runs, and a regression in it passes CI unnoticed. Add the test to a Rubin single-GPU list, or record that it runs only in QA.

As per coding guidelines: "If a newly added test needs to be protected by CI, it must be included in at least one CI test list under tests/integration/test_lists/test-db/."
