feat(codex): tier role auto-assign candidates by measured capability in the role's task domain - #7624
Role auto-assign tiers candidates by measured capability in the role's task domain. Sizing names a domain: coding, agentic, reasoning, writing, knowledge or general. Explicit codexRoleTiers mappings still win. With two or more measured, unmapped candidates, those are tiered by distinct score (equal scores share a tier). Otherwise price rank decides, as before. Each proposal reports its tierSource.
Scores come from Artificial Analysis, using the operator's own key in codexRoleCapability.artificialAnalysis.apiKey (a literal, ${ENV} or keychain reference). They are read once per UTC day from a fixed HTTPS endpoint, with redirects refused, a 30 s timeout and a 16 MiB streamed bound. The scores stay inside the process: responses carry attribution and tiers only. With no key, or when the read fails, proposals keep configured tiers and price rank, and capability.error gives the reason with null source attribution.
The Artificial Analysis key is part of the configured-credential set, trimmed the same way the schema trims it, so request-log diagnostics that echo it are refused. It is not in the config DTO or in proposal responses.
Removed before merge (owner decision): the opt-in Hugging Face LMArena parquet source and the hyparquet dependency. Its resolve URL always redirects to the Xet CDN, so it could not succeed, and bounding an in-process parquet decode of remote data needs its own design-reviewed PR. A leftover huggingFace key in a saved config is dropped while a valid AA key is kept. Any other malformed codexRoleCapability block is dropped whole, like the schema's other strict optional blocks.
Docs: the auto-assign section in guides/integrations.md, the reference/configuration/agents.md row, sub-agent-surface.md, structure/subagents.md and structure/config.md.

Exact head aa93d98f4130bb1ec141b5fe28de7195f2e3f793. It is 3f1219c93 plus an ordinary merge of deva022a67fd, a reflow of structure/subagents.md back under its 600-line budget (the merge with dev pushed it over), and one wording fix about which proposals carry tierSource: "price". Windows, Bun 1.4.4, one test process at a time.
bun scripts/test.ts on 11 files: codex-role routing tests (auto-assign, consent, redirects, measured ties, sizing), auto-assign routes, configured credentials, both test-layout guards, the file-size ratchet and structure SSOT. Result: 140 pass / 0 fail.
RED → GREEN: AA key credential coverage (0 pass / 1 fail before the fix); padded ${ENV} reference trim (1 pass / 1 fail before the fix).
Merged with current devd9e0c057: layout, ratchet, structure, credential and capability tests 94 pass / 0 fail; bun run typecheck clean (2,252 files).
bun run structure:check and bun run privacy:scan pass, and the docs build passes. git grep hyparquet finds nothing.
PR CI on the pre-merge head 3f1219c93 (Cross-platform CI run 41055471480) was green on every job. The merge decision uses CI on this final head.
After the dev merge: the 10 focused files above, 129 pass / 0 fail; bun run structure:check passes.
Independent fresh reviews of the final diff: security NEAR-PASS (no blocker), code NEAR-PASS (two documented matching limitations accepted as non-blocking for a proposal-only feature), exact-head confirmation PASS.
Not run: the full local suite (shared Windows host; full Ubuntu shards ran in CI), lane=all, and live requests with a real AA key.

Role auto-assignment can use published model scores for a role’s task domain, alongside configured tiers and prices. Models with matching scores can be ranked even when they have no listed price.
Configure an Artificial Analysis API key to enable benchmark data. Scores are not included in the auto-assignment response.
Bug Fixes
If benchmark data is unavailable, auto-assignment falls back to configured tiers and prices while retaining proposals and reporting the issue.
Documentation
Updated configuration and integration guides with task domains, benchmark-based ranking, and fallback behavior.
…in the role's task domain
- The sizing rubric asks for a neutral task domain per role (coding, agentic, reasoning, writing, knowledge, general), and a missing or unknown domain sizes on the general scale
- role-capability.ts reads each domain's scores from the LMArena leaderboard dataset (CC BY 4.0) once per clock hour, parsing its published parquet with hyparquet (MIT, no dependencies), and keys display names to catalog slugs
- With two or more measured candidates the mapper tiers by score and breaks an equal price by the higher score; otherwise, or when the source cannot be read, price rank decides as before and the response's capability block says why
- Each proposal names its domain and tierSource, and structure/subagents.md states the order

Walkthrough
Role sizing now records a task domain. Auto-assignment can load Artificial Analysis scores and use domain-specific measured tiers to classify and select candidates. Configuration, credential handling, fallback reporting, tests, and documentation were updated.
Changes: Role model assignment
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Add task domains to role sizing src/codex/role-sizing.ts, tests/routing/codex-role-sizing.test.ts
The sizing prompt and RoleSizing result now include a task domain. Missing or unknown domains default to general; the other sizing validations remain in place.
The loader reads Artificial Analysis data when a resolved API key is configured. It parses domain scores, limits response size and request time, refuses redirects, and caches results by UTC day and API key. Configuration accepts the Artificial Analysis key and ignores the retired huggingFace field.
Classify and select role candidates src/codex/role-auto-assign.ts, tests/routing/codex-role-measured-ties.test.ts, tests/routing/codex-role-auto-assign.test.ts, docs-site/src/content/docs/guides/integrations.md, docs-site/src/content/docs/guides/sub-agent-surface.md, structure/subagents.md
Explicit mappings retain precedence. When at least two unmapped candidates have measured scores for the domain, distinct scores determine tiers and unmeasured candidates are excluded from measured tiering. Otherwise, known prices determine tiers. Candidate selection and proposal data include measured-tier details.
Apply domain classifications to proposals src/server/management/context.ts, src/server/management/codex-agent-role-routes.ts, src/server/management/codex-role-auto-assign.ts, tests/server/codex-role-auto-assign-routes.test.ts
The management route can pass a capability loader to proposal generation. Proposal generation loads scores for sized domains, uses domain-specific classifications when available, and returns capability source details, fallback errors, and proposal tier sources. Scores are included only when the source permits redistribution.

Update the sizing contract text. It still describes five required answer fields.
The sizing answer now has six fields. Lines 336-337 say "a field outside the vocabulary leaves that role unsized" and "all five stay required". Both statements are now wrong for domain:
validateEntry in src/codex/role-sizing.ts Line 186 maps a missing or unknown domain to "general".
The role stays sized.
Only tier, effort, rationale, move_up_if and move_down_if are still required.
The lines you changed (341-352) already say "missing means general". The paragraph at Lines 335-338 now contradicts them.

Needs fixes before this can land: resolve dev conflicts, separate/rebase the #7617 dependency, obtain dependency security review and sponsorship, then complete current-head functional CI.
Still needed on dev: yes. Dev ranks by price and picker order without measured scores (src/codex/role-auto-assign.ts:77, :105).

…he user's own key
- codexRoleCapability.artificialAnalysis.apiKey (literal, env or keychain reference) makes role auto-assign read Artificial Analysis coding, agentic, math and intelligence indexes once per UTC day, falling back to the LMArena dataset when unset or unreadable
- The capability block names the source actually used and omits raw scores when its terms forbid redistribution
- Docs describe measured tiering and the key, replacing the stale price-only wording
Status at head 58826e834, rebased onto dev at 42549ba1b (0 behind) on 2026-10-27; this PR is its own three commits.
New since triage: an optional Artificial Analysis source. With codexRoleCapability.artificialAnalysis.apiKey set, auto-assign reads its coding, agentic, math and intelligence indexes once per UTC day with the user's own key; without one, or when that read fails, it uses the LMArena dataset and capability.error says so. Its terms forbid redistributing the data, so the response names the source and each model's tier but leaves out the scores.
Verified on this head: the four route and routing test files 47 pass / 0 fail, bun run typecheck and the GUI tsc --noEmit exit 0, bun run structure:check, bun run privacy:scan, bun run skill:surface:check and bun scripts/file-size-ratchet.ts pass. Live: no key reads LMArena (published 2026-10-23); an invalid key gets 401 from Artificial Analysis and falls back.
Two gates left, both a maintainer's:
Dependency security review and maintainer-sponsored for bun.lock and package.json. Notes for the reviewer:
One runtime dependency, hyparquet1.31.5, pinned exactly: MIT, no dependencies of its own, no install scripts; the bun.lock diff is that one package and its integrity matches the npm registry.
src/codex/role-capability.ts uses only parquetReadObjects, on bytes already in memory; it opens no files and makes no network calls, and the caller refuses any table past 16 MB through readBoundedBytes.
The dataset publishes parquet. Its JSON alternative, the Hugging Face dataset viewer, pages at 100 rows (text has 413 rows per category) and answered 500 during a check, so dropping the dependency would trade it for a slower, less reliable read.
If you'd rather not take it, I can split the LMArena read out so this PR lands without touching package.json, leaving the Artificial Analysis source, which needs nothing new.
Current-head functional CI: needs a maintainer to approve the run on 58826e834.
Maintainer triage (2026-10-28, against dev e1976da):
Measured role capability is not implemented on dev. The earlier #7617 dependency is now resolved, and the bounded download is present at src/codex/role-capability.ts:142–170. This head merges without textual conflicts.
Please:
Refresh the branch and verification against current dev; it is now 49 commits behind.
Keep the dependency change at package.json:86 and bun.lock isolated for maintainer sponsorship/security review, or provide the offered dependency-free split. Only a maintainer can grant the sponsorship label.
Include the Artificial Analysis configuration and loader at src/codex/role-capability.ts:179–215 in that review.
Refresh the role-sizing, auto-assign and route regressions through bun scripts/test.ts with Bun 1.4.4, run typecheck, and update the four readiness attestations when satisfied.
The template, existing test-file placement and #7617 integration are already fine. A maintainer will then decide sponsorship, complete dependency/credential review, authorize current-head functional CI, and review the resulting head. The current unsponsored-surface failures remain blocking.
Refreshed onto current dev 1f8405734 as one ordinary merge commit, a0332bc29 (no conflicts; your commits unchanged), which was item 1 of the 2026-10-28 triage.
Local, Bun 1.4.4: bun run typecheck, structure:check, privacy:scan; bun scripts/test.ts over the test-layout, file-size and import-cycle ratchets plus codex-role-sizing, codex-role-auto-assign, codex-role-auto-assign-routes and codex-agent-role-routes: 121 pass / 0 fail.
The hyparquet dependency change (package.json:87, bun.lock) is untouched and still needs maintainer sponsorship and dependency/credential review (including the Artificial Analysis loader), so I have not approved PR CI. Please update the readiness attestations for this head when satisfied.
Maintainer carry security fix pushed: 6699f2e (Co-authored-by LilMGenius). It retains all contributor commits and dev b16bc09; the ordinary dev merge was already up to date.
Both capability fetches now refuse redirects. AA keeps its x-api-key at the fixed endpoint. HF remains explicitly consent-gated and retains the 16 MiB/30-second limits; a redirected dataset is unavailable rather than followed to another origin. The guide documents the resulting tier/price fallback.
Equal measured scores now share a tier independent of provider order. The unpriced-model docs and six-field sizing contract are corrected. Both open CodeRabbit threads received fixing-SHA/evidence replies and are resolved.
RED on 205e528: bun scripts/test.ts tests/routing/codex-role-capability-redirects.test.ts tests/routing/codex-role-measured-ties.test.ts — 2 pass / 12 fail. Ten redirect cases reached the second server (AA leaked the fixture key), and two score-tie cases assigned different tiers.
GREEN on the pushed tree: bun scripts/test.ts tests/routing/codex-role-capability-redirects.test.ts tests/routing/codex-role-measured-ties.test.ts tests/routing/codex-role-capability-consent.test.ts tests/routing/codex-role-auto-assign.test.ts tests/routing/codex-role-sizing.test.ts tests/server/codex-role-auto-assign-routes.test.ts tests/test-layout.test.ts tests/test-layout-tooling.test.ts tests/ci-workflows/file-size-ratchet.test.ts — 97 pass / 0 fail. These include real HTTP 302/307 redirects, zero destination requests, omitted/false/true HF fallback consent, and layout/ratchet guards.
The adapted reviewer HTTPS probe, bun test ./.tmp/7624-https-redirect.test.ts, passed 2 / 0, covering 302 and 307 with a locally trusted fixture certificate. Initial servers receive the fixture key; destination servers receive no request.
bun run typecheck (2,229 files), bun run structure:index, bun run structure:check, and bun run privacy:scan all exit 0. Structure index regeneration produces no content diff. bun install --cwd docs-site --frozen-lockfile and bun run --cwd docs-site build exit 0, with 593 pages / 85,236 internal links. git diff --cached --check passed and the final worktree is clean.
The PR description has been updated once with final-head evidence and the full-suite exception. Pinned Bun 1.4.4, OCX_TEST_NO_QUEUE=1, one test process at a time. No workflow dispatch/rerun/fork approval, label change, history rewrite, or PR merge was performed. Explicit maintainer security re-review is still required on this exact head; local tests do not substitute for it or hosted CI.
NOT RUN: full suite (owner-directed parallel-host exception), GUI tests/build/lint (unchanged), live dataset/real-key requests, hosted cross-platform checks, independent final-head security re-review.
Maintainer review (L5 maintenance lane for @lidge-jun) of head 6699f2e72b75bbea68300537dd5e2e71e50e264f merged with current dev. HOLD: the Hugging Face source needs a design decision before this can merge. The rest of the change is close.
1. The Hugging Face path cannot succeed in production.readLatest() in src/codex/role-capability.ts fetches https://huggingface.co/datasets/lmarena-ai/leaderboard-dataset/resolve/main/<config>/latest-00000-of-00001.parquet with redirect: "error". That URL answers 302 Found with a Location on the Xet CDN (us.aws.cdn.hf.co), checked today with curl -I. So every Hugging Face read fails, and an operator who opts in always gets the "benchmark data was unavailable" fallback. The tests stub fetch and cannot see this.
2. Bounding the parquet decode takes more than a decompression cap. An independent review traced hyparquet 1.31.5 and found allocations sized by values in the file, not by the 16 MiB download bound:
Footer metadata is parsed before any check can run. A Thrift list size comes straight from the bytes (thrift.js, new Array(listSize)).
Page headers are parsed per page, independently of the footer. Dictionary and data-page num_values and uncompressed_page_size drive allocations (column.js, datapage.js). UNCOMPRESSED and DATA_PAGE_V2 with is_compressed=false bypass any custom decompressor hook, so a SNAPPY budget alone misses them.
Run lengths inside RLE and delta payloads are read from the data and repeat writes without a length check (encoding.jsreadRle, delta.js). A small page can therefore expand into a long CPU loop or a large array.
A complete bound would need our own bounded footer and page-header walk, an encoding allowlist, and validation of run lengths inside each page, or isolation with an enforceable time and memory limit. That is a design choice, not a carry fix.
Options for the owner, smallest first:
A. Drop the Hugging Face source and the hyparquet dependency. Keep Artificial Analysis (already opt-in through its key) and the tier/price fallback. Today's behavior does not change, since the Hugging Face path never succeeds.
B. Keep it, hardened. Follow redirects manually only to an allowlisted Hugging Face CDN host, and add the bounded pre-walk and encoding allowlist, or decode in an isolated process with a time and memory limit.
C. Use a JSON source. For example, the datasets-server /filter API. In two probes today it returned 500 after about 10 s ("Authentication check on the Hugging Face Hub failed or timed out"), so it is not yet a reliable replacement.
3. Ready independently of that decision. The Artificial Analysis key is a credential but is not in the configured-credential set that the request log uses to refuse diagnostics echoing a configured secret (src/server/configured-credentials.ts walks only providers, headers and OAuth). A fix with tests is prepared on the lane branch and will be pushed here together with an ordinary merge of current dev. That merge resolves the two conflicts in scripts/test-layout/layout-codex-collision.json and structure/config.md by keeping both sides. CLI config export keeps raw credentials by its existing restore contract, the same as provider keys.
This stays open on HOLD until the owner picks A, B or C.
Update from the L5 maintenance lane for @lidge-jun. Owner decision: Option A. The Hugging Face LMArena parquet source and the hyparquet dependency are removed from this PR.
Why: the Hugging Face path could not succeed in production. The resolve URL always redirects to the Xet CDN, while the fetch refused redirects. Bounding hyparquet's decode of remote data needs its own design (see the previous comment). Options B (hardened Hugging Face source) and C (a JSON source) can come back as a separate PR that gets its own design and security review. The measured-capability tiering, sizing and proposal flow are @LilMGenius's work and stay as they were. Every maintainer commit carries Co-authored-by: LilMGenius, and the squash merge will keep that credit.
Maintainer commits on this branch
f1d64b76f: ordinary merge of dev. Both layout-map and structure/config.md conflicts were resolved by keeping both sides.
93078627f: the Artificial Analysis key joins the configured-credential set, so request-log diagnostics that echo it are refused. RED before the fix: 0 pass / 1 fail.
44b6c84b1: Option A. Artificial Analysis is the only measured source. With no key, or when AA fails, proposals fall back to configured tiers and price, and the capability report carries name/url/license: null with the reason, so it never credits a source that supplied nothing. A retired huggingFace key in a saved config is dropped while a valid AA key is kept. The AA key reference is trimmed the same way the schema trims it before credential coverage (padded ${ENV} reference: RED 1 pass / 1 fail before the trim). Docs and structure/ were updated. package.json and bun.lock lose only hyparquet.
04ed266c3: pins the existing convention that any other malformed codexRoleCapability block is dropped whole and reported as "no Artificial Analysis key is configured", with zero requests.
Independent reviews of 44b6c84b1 (fresh reviewers, separate from the builder)
Security review: NEAR-PASS, no blocker. The AA key goes only to the fixed HTTPS endpoint, with redirects refused, a 30 s timeout and a 16 MiB streamed bound. It is absent from the config DTO and from proposal responses. Raw AA scores are not redistributed. The net dependency diff against dev is empty. Auto-assign only proposes, and applying a proposal stays on the authenticated PUT path. Its one SHOULD was a valid key being dropped when another field in the block is malformed. That matches how the schema treats every strict optional block: a malformed block is never partly trusted. The outcome is reported in the proposal's capability error, and 04ed266c3 pins it.
Code review: two findings about the contributor's matching design, which predates this carry, plus one SHOULD (addressed by 04ed266c3).
The candidate key drops the provider prefix, so two providers serving the same final slug share a score. This is the documented intent in the module header ("matches a catalog id once its provider prefix is gone"): the same model reached through different providers should rank together. Unrelated models with the same final slug are possible, and because auto-assign only proposes, the operator reviews every pick before it is applied.
A model's best reasoning-setting score stands for the model, while the proposed effort is chosen separately. This is also documented ("a role can be given that setting"). Each proposal shows the chosen effort, and the operator can raise it.
Both are reasonable follow-ups, such as alias-verified matching and effort-matched scores, but they do not block this proposal-only feature. Exact-head review and CI evidence will be recorded before merge.
Local verification on 44b6c84b1 merged with dev1eca7a329 (Windows, Bun 1.4.4): 11 focused files, 139 pass / 0 fail (codex-role routing and server tests, configured credentials, layout guards, file-size ratchet, structure SSOT). bun run typecheck: no errors in 2,251 files. The new pin test on 04ed266c3: 3 pass / 0 fail.
Maintainer integration into dev (L5 maintenance lane for @lidge-jun)
This is maintainer integration under MAINTAINERS.md, not an approval. The merge is a squash into dev at exact head 3f1219c9315cc61c2e8588a499efc496dcce30c3, with Co-authored-by: LilMGenius credit.
Exact-head CI (3f1219c93): every check completed successfully.
Cross-platform CI run 41055471480: gates, test 1/4–4/4, docker smoke, api usage, storage policy, structure gate, docs site build, npm-global ubuntu-latest and ci. This change took the full-shard path, so test changed was skipped by design.
Catalog async contracts (run 41055471544), PR hygiene, the PR target gate and the labeler all passed.
Reviews on the final diff, by fresh terra reviewers separate from the builder:
Security review: NEAR-PASS with no blocker. Its SHOULD is pinned by 04ed266c3.
Code review: NEAR-PASS. The two matching-design limitations are accepted as non-blocking for this proposal-only feature and are good follow-ups.
Exact-head confirmation: PASS on 3f1219c93.
Dispositions are in the earlier comments.
Union check against current devd9e0c057:git merge-tree is clean. On the merged tree, the layout guards, file-size ratchet, structure SSOT, credential and capability tests pass (94 pass, 0 fail), and bun run typecheck is clean across 2,252 files. The net dependency diff against dev is empty, since hyparquet was removed.
NOT RUN: the full local suite (shared Windows host; full Ubuntu shards ran in CI), lane=all (not dispatched per policy), and live Artificial Analysis requests with a real key.

Document that tierSource is conditional.
RoleProposal omits tierSource for status: "unsized" entries. Sized proposals include it, with null for unassigned proposals. Change this sentence to describe the union accurately. (raw.githubusercontent.com)
Proposed wording
- Each proposal names its `tierSource`.+ Sized proposals include `tierSource`; it is null for unassigned proposals, and unsized proposals omit it.
As per path instructions, structure/** must document the current contract.

Update the `tierSource` sentence in the role-proposal documentation to reflect
the `RoleProposal` contract: sized proposals include the field, unassigned
proposals set it to null, and unsized proposals omit it.

Correct the tier-distribution description.
tierByRank uses rounded rank positions, not an even split. Four priced models map to fast, standard, standard, and frontier. One priced model maps to frontier, leaving fast and standard empty. Two priced models map to standard and frontier, leaving only fast empty.
Suggested documentation fix
- split evenly across the three tiers. Fewer are anchored at the top, the dearest frontier and each cheaper- one a tier lower, so one is frontier and two are standard and frontier; fast is the tier left empty,+ use rounded rank positions across the three tiers. Four priced models map to fast, standard, standard,+ and frontier. Fewer are anchored at the top: one is frontier, while two are standard and frontier;+ one leaves fast and standard empty, and two leaves only fast empty,

Maintainer integration into dev, final head (L5 maintenance lane for @lidge-jun)
This supersedes the earlier integration note for 3f1219c93. That head could not merge: the PR gate requires the branch to be at most 10 commits behind dev, and every push resets the readiness checklist. The merge is a squash into dev at exact head aa93d98f4130bb1ec141b5fe28de7195f2e3f793, with Co-authored-by: LilMGenius.
Changes since 3f1219c93:
4cabdefe7: an ordinary merge of deva022a67fd. Its net src diff against dev matches the PR's own src diff byte for byte, as an independent reviewer confirmed.
858fc4f09: a reflow of structure/subagents.md. The merged tree reached 606 lines against the file's 600-line structure budget, a union hazard the merge exposed; the reflow brings it back to 600.
aa93d98f4: a wording fix. A proposal picked by price rank carries tierSource: "price"; mapped candidates keep "mapping" and unassigned proposals carry null.
Exact-head CI on aa93d98f4: Cross-platform CI run 41059183803 succeeded on every job: gates, test 1/4–4/4, docker smoke, api usage, storage policy, structure gate, docs site build, npm-global ubuntu-latest and ci. Catalog async contracts run 41059183811, PR hygiene, enforce-target and the labeler also succeeded.
Reviews: the exact-head confirmation on aa93d98f4 passed. The earlier security review (NEAR-PASS, no blocker) and code review (NEAR-PASS) still apply, because src is unchanged since then.
Union check against current devcb483626c: 3 commits behind, and git merge-tree is clean. On the merged tree, structure:check passes, as do the layout guards, file-size ratchet, structure SSOT, auto-assign route, capability and credential tests (106 pass, 0 fail). bun run typecheck is clean across 2,252 files.
NOT RUN: the full local suite (shared Windows host; full Ubuntu shards ran in CI), lane=all (batched on dev per policy), and live Artificial Analysis requests.

Summary
codexRoleTiersmappings still win. With two or more measured, unmapped candidates, those are tiered by distinct score (equal scores share a tier). Otherwise price rank decides, as before. Each proposal reports itstierSource.codexRoleCapability.artificialAnalysis.apiKey(a literal,${ENV}or keychain reference). They are read once per UTC day from a fixed HTTPS endpoint, with redirects refused, a 30 s timeout and a 16 MiB streamed bound. The scores stay inside the process: responses carry attribution and tiers only. With no key, or when the read fails, proposals keep configured tiers and price rank, andcapability.errorgives the reason with null source attribution.hyparquetdependency. Its resolve URL always redirects to the Xet CDN, so it could not succeed, and bounding an in-process parquet decode of remote data needs its own design-reviewed PR. A leftoverhuggingFacekey in a saved config is dropped while a valid AA key is kept. Any other malformedcodexRoleCapabilityblock is dropped whole, like the schema's other strict optional blocks.guides/integrations.md, thereference/configuration/agents.mdrow,sub-agent-surface.md,structure/subagents.mdandstructure/config.md.Original work by @LilMGenius. Review readiness checklist
This PR stays in draft until every box below is ticked. Tick all four boxes once the requirements are met:
Required local validation passed; commands, results, and any full-suite exception are documented.
I pushed my PR to a recent dev commit (at most 10 behind; a maintainer may still ask for the exact tip before merge).
I resolved all correct Codex and CodeRabbit findings.
My PR is ready for review.
