[Bug]: html_render fails to render visual cards above chat messages under Antigravity ACP harness #21214

Closed as not planned

Description

Before submitting

  • I searched existing issues and did not find a duplicate.
  • I included enough detail to reproduce or investigate the problem.

Area

apps/desktop

Steps to reproduce

  1. Configure an agent running via the Antigravity provider/harness in T3 Code.
  2. Trigger the show-math skill.
  3. The agent calls the MCP tool t3-code/html_render with a self-contained KaTeX HTML payload and height: 2000.
  4. The tool returns successfully with an attachmentId and htmlRender metadata.
  5. Inspect the assistant's reply in the chat stream.

Expected behavior

An inline interactive visual card should appear directly above the agent's markdown response text.

Actual behavior

The area above the response is completely blank. Only the plain markdown text is displayed in the conversation bubble.

    Note

Grok responding on behalf of Julius.

Thanks for the report! This is the same problem as #19067 (Antigravity tool calls come through as Running html_render with only a short summary as output, so the page never shows), which was folded into #16745. Closing this as a duplicate so follow-up stays in one place.

The open PR #19796 targets exactly this Antigravity case, so you can follow it there.
