Summary

  • registry/repos.json: HomeAutomation-Config moves from workflowModel: operational to release. source-only, lineEndings: lf, github-release/none and dispatch-only stay as they are, the same shape Blog already has. The drift notes now describe it as code installed onto the hosts it manages, and record the reclassification.
  • Hub prose that named it as an operational repo or counted it among them now says release: STANDUP.md, TODO.md, docs/reusable-workflows.md, docs/eol-lf-rollout.md and the operational row of reports/conformance-matrix.md, which now names no reference repo.

The maintainer decided the reclassification in ptr727/HomeAutomation-Config#425. After this merges, that repo is resynced against the new model, including its release develop ruleset, and reports/homeautomation-config/audit.md gets regenerated.

Verification

  • python3 spec/validate.py: 22 cataloged repos classify cleanly.
  • python3 -m unittest discover -s scripts/tests: 1657 tests OK.
  • python3 scripts/prose_lint.py . --diff origin/develop: no findings.
  • Four recorded local review passes over the branch diff.

The repository is no longer used in place. Its content is installed onto
the hosts it manages, so the registry entry, its drift notes, and the
rollout checklists that named it operational now say release.

Copilot review overview

🟢 Approval recommended

The changes are internally consistent across the registry and documentation, and the update is narrowly scoped to the intended workflow-model reclassification.

Review effort: Lite
Findings: None

What changed in this PR

Updates the hub registry and supporting documentation to reclassify HomeAutomation-Config from the operational workflow model to the release workflow model, and to remove references that treated it as the operational reference repository.

Changes:

  • Switch HomeAutomation-Config to workflowModel: release in registry/repos.json and update its drift notes to reflect the new rationale.
  • Update hub docs (STANDUP.md, TODO.md, and other docs) to reflect the reclassification and resulting changes in “operational repo” counts/wording.
  • Adjust the conformance matrix to note that there is currently no audited reference repository for the operational config shape.
File Description
TODO.md Updates sweep/pilot narrative to reflect the reclassification and operational-repo counts.
STANDUP.md Updates workflow-model wording around config repo counts/floor inheritance.
reports/conformance-matrix.md Removes HomeAutomation-Config as the operational reference repo and documents the gap.
registry/repos.json Changes HomeAutomation-Config workflow model to release and updates drift notes accordingly.
docs/reusable-workflows.md Updates reuse/adoption checklist text to reflect operational-at-adoption vs release-now status.
docs/eol-lf-rollout.md Updates the rollout checklist entry and operational-LF repo counts after reclassification.

#1786)

The HomeAutomation-Config audit report's opening said "(hub #1766,
promoted in #1768)". #1768 is the hub's own promotion PR, but without
the qualifier it reads like a HomeAutomation-Config number. It now says
"hub #1768". A sweep of the report found no other hub reference missing
the qualifier.

Raised by Copilot as a previously-missed finding on promotion PR #1784.
A fix can't be pushed to the promotion PR itself, so it lands here
first.
