Summary

Windows fixture setup repeatedly replayed spend journals, performed serial account writes, and raced asynchronous cleanup. This change keeps the real ownership and ACL checks while removing repeated fixture work and preserving the original request assertions.

  • Reuse one real spend-journal owner for each sequential overflow slice, release it in finally, and retain per-case ownership for standalone callers.
  • Ownership test modifiers and cold-start retry now live in merged test(config): retry busy first ownership registrations #8238/test(config): honor ownership test platform exclusions on Bun #8239. This branch takes that complete dev file unchanged, including barrier-expiry and Windows busy-rotation coverage; they are no longer part of its remaining diff.
  • Settle asynchronous provider work before removing fixture homes. Give four cleanup hooks a shared 35-second bound covering the helper's two 15-second phases plus scheduling headroom. An unreaped ACL child still prevents removal and can exceed that caller deadline; no process/ACL safeguard is weakened. Disable unrelated native Codex synchronization in synthetic forwarding/image/pool configurations.
  • Separate real config/ACL/server/image preparation in the three Anthropic image scenarios into a 10-second setup hook; proxy shutdown precedes upstream shutdown and home removal. Their request/response assertions retain the default 5-second deadline and every original assertion.
  • Seed Kiro accounts in one fenced store mutation and verify the stored set, active selection and exact emitted metric labels. The settings fixture separates a bounded 10-second server setup hook from its unchanged 5-second API test.
  • Read the source-oracle corpus once through eight bounded asynchronous readers and share compact facts between its two checks. Preserve the exact glob, expected constructor/writer tables, failure diagnostics and default 5-second test deadline.
  • Apply the same bounded setup and async teardown to the Claude 529 mapping fixture. Preserve its 15s/15s/5s request deadlines and all assertions; disable only unrelated Codex client integration in this Messages-only fixture.
  • Correct sparse-checkout guidance to retain the tracked test inventory.

The Windows separator and refusal-injection fixes already landed through #8214 (7757a2fe1ff390258752d91c5e35561b6c978634) and were credited by #8219. This branch now merges dev a5899038aa30412a4b50e1ce31952cb6a9f210a8 without reintroducing those edits. At prior head a22c65e5, the remaining ten files were byte-identical to 5340cb4e; the subsequent follow-ups cover image-retry cleanup and tray-probe readiness. The ownership test file remains byte-identical to integrated dev.

Current candidate: ec0c0b3124cd1b4344df60a1f3b0a348fd7980d6 (tree 8eba83a0e3057635e0efc65bfa7d3863f160aa7b), normally merging dev a5899038 after the tray-readiness fix 86ba0888. The previous ten PR files retain their 69ce946e bytes; the additional change is the tray probe test. Diff from integrated dev: 11 files changed, 335 insertions(+), 206 deletions(-).

Verification

CI tray-readiness follow-up (86ba0888, merged head ec0c0b31)

CI42324364047 at 69ce946e failed only test shard1 and its aggregate: the last fresh-process batch reported 282 pass / 1 fail, because the tray probe's Online case observed an existing but still-empty PID file. The other four test shards passed. The affected test and its append-based producer were unchanged in upstream dev, including a5899038.

The parent now waits for the exact child PID to be published, within the existing deadline. It reads before checking process exit, preserving the intentionally failing child case. The producer still appends because another consumer uses the same file as a multi-child cleanup ledger; replacing the producer with rename/overwrite would break that contract. The Online scenario starts with an empty file and retains its existing initialization delay to exercise the early-visible-file condition.

  • Controlled RED with that Online fixture and the original existence-only wait: 0 pass / 1 fail / 6 assertions (Online, expected child PID, received empty string). Candidate bytes were restored and hash-verified.
  • Final merged-head selected tray probe: 1 pass / 0 fail / 22 assertions, 3.20s, covering all five probe scenarios. The other 28 tray tests were filtered, not claimed as passing.
  • Final merged-head complete image-retry file: 6 pass / 0 fail / 40 assertions, 32.33s. The new dev merge justified this integration check; earlier successful suites were not replayed unchanged.
  • Typecheck (2,323 source files), structure, privacy, file-size and diff checks passed. Independent read-only review found no blocker. Dev merged without conflicts; no timeout, retry budget, producer contract or production behavior was changed by this follow-up.
  • Both focused commands used native Windows / pinned Bun1.4.4 / the normal scripts/test.ts --parallel=1 wrapper. The full local suite remains disproportionate to the shared-device I/O budget; wider Linux coverage is left to new-head CI, and full native Windows/macOS or installed-app acceptance is not claimed. The failed old run was not rerun.

Drain-failure coverage follow-up (69ce946e)

Addresses review comment 4499330909. A releasable task registered through the real background-work registry makes the fixture's real drain path fail. The case verifies the rejection, restored OPENCODEX_HOME/CODEX_HOME, cleared fixture references, and both owned trees remaining intact. Its finally releases and awaits the task before removing either tree, including when an assertion fails.

  • Native Windows / pinned Bun 1.4.4 / normal scripts/test.ts isolation: 6 pass / 0 fail / 40 assertions, 32.08s for the complete image-retry file. This includes the three original image retry scenarios and all three cleanup-failure cases.
  • The new case reuses BACKGROUND_WORK_TEARDOWN_TIMEOUT_MS; no existing deadline, global timeout, drain budget, production code or assertion was weakened. The approximately 15-second wait deliberately exercises the real drain refusal.
  • Typecheck (2,322 source files), structure, privacy, file-size and diff checks passed; independent read-only review found no blocker. Full hosted CI and maintainer acceptance remain separate.

Shutdown-failure cleanup follow-up (614364fc)

Addresses maintainer review 5808032886. The image-retry fixture now attempts upstream shutdown even if proxy shutdown rejects, clears owned handles, and restores both OPENCODEX_HOME and CODEX_HOME plus cooldown state in finally. Removal happens only after shutdown/drain succeeds; a rejected stop leaves both owned trees intact. Failure still propagates rather than being swallowed.

  • Controlled RED used the original a22c65e5 cleanup body, extracted into the same callable fixture function: the proxy-stop rejection skipped the upstream stop (1 fail, 2 assertions). Candidate bytes were restored and hash-verified afterward.

  • GREEN: 5 pass / 0 fail / 32 assertions, 17.56s, native Windows / pinned Bun 1.4.4 / normal scripts/test.ts --parallel=1 isolation. Two controlled rejecting-stop cases check exact environment restoration and retained trees; the three original real-image retry cases preserve their request/response assertions and deadlines.

  • Typecheck (2,322 source files), structure, privacy, file-size and diff checks passed. Independent read-only review found no blocker. No production code, timeout, live account or installed runtime changed. The transient RED recovery copy was removed after restoration verification.

  • These results belong to 614364fc; the following drain-only commit has its own six-test validation above. Prior six-file and CI results below remain prior-head evidence, not a new full-suite pass.

  • Dev-merge candidate (a22c65e5), Windows / pinned Bun 1.4.4: the six-file fixture cohort below passed 64 tests / 0 failures / 303 assertions in 68.86 seconds. Typecheck (2,322 source files), structure, privacy, file-size and diff checks passed. The test-only conflict adopted the full dev ownership file; no deadline or assertion was relaxed.

bun scripts/test.ts tests/adapters/anthropic/anthropic-image-retry-e2e.test.ts tests/claude-integration/claude-529-mapping.test.ts tests/claude-integration/messages-error-contracts.test.ts tests/providers/forward-admission-separation.test.ts tests/providers/kiro/kiro-pool-load-settings.test.ts tests/providers/kiro/kiro-quota-metrics.test.ts --parallel=1
  • Prior 529-fixture follow-up, Windows / pinned Bun 1.4.4: bun scripts/test.ts --parallel=1 tests/claude-integration/claude-529-mapping.test.ts — 3 pass, 0 fail, 11 assertions (20.57s). Typecheck (2,317 files), privacy and diff checks passed; independent read-only review found no blocker in setup, assertions, owned shutdown, background drain or environment restoration.
  • The broader changed-mode run in fix(workflows): enforce root send ceilings at physical admission #8149 exposed this unchanged fixture's synchronous-removal EBUSY with config-dir-acl-harden pending. Async cleanup removed that error, then the original 5s request case still timed out. A bounded diagnostic measured config ready at 408ms, server ready at 6,018ms, assertions at 9,764ms, and shutdown complete at 9,837ms. Real setup therefore moved to a 10s beforeEach; the preparation-only cohort still exceeded that hook until unrelated Codex synchronization was explicitly disabled. All intermediate failures remain diagnostic evidence, not passing acceptance, and no broad retry-to-green was used.

The following results belong to prior heads, not a repeated full run of this one:

  • Prior 3dea7e23 preparation/teardown follow-up, Windows / pinned Bun 1.4.4: bun scripts/test.ts --parallel=1 tests/providers/forward-admission-separation.test.ts tests/adapters/anthropic/anthropic-image-retry-e2e.test.ts tests/providers/kiro/kiro-pool-load-settings.test.ts tests/providers/kiro/kiro-quota-metrics.test.ts — 22 pass, 0 fail, 97 assertions (47.82s). Independent read-only review verified assertion preservation, hook ordering and scope; that head's typecheck/structure/privacy/file-size/diff checks passed.
  • The cleanup-only candidate exposed an image R4 timeout (21 pass / 1 fail / 2 errors). A separate timing probe kept the 5-second limit and measured 4.16s of setup plus 0.18s of image preparation before the interrupted request. Moving that preparation into the bounded setup hook fixed the tested cohort without raising request deadlines. The diagnostic probe also failed; it is not counted as a passing regression or a normal request-latency measurement.
  • Source-oracle candidate (0f59b447), Windows / pinned Bun 1.4.4: bun test tests/claude-integration/messages-error-contracts.test.ts tests/claude-integration/messages-proxy-refusals.test.ts tests/claude-integration/messages-sse-workflow-refusal.test.ts tests/config/config-ownership-concurrent-record.test.ts — 119 pass, 6 intended platform skips, 0 fail, 599 assertions (101.54s). Before the corpus-read change, the same cohort had 118 pass / 6 skip / 1 fail: the first source scan exceeded its unchanged 5-second deadline.
  • The isolated source-oracle file passed 39 tests / 195 assertions. Its two source checks completed in about 127ms and 1ms; in the full cohort they completed in about 137ms and 1ms. A separate warm-cache measurement found 2,317 source files / 27,756,008 bytes and 3.46s of serial read/match work; it does not establish the cold-cache or antivirus contribution to the earlier 9.17s failure.
  • Prior-head static checks passed: bun check --no-script --noEmit (2,317 files), bun scripts/structure-ssot.ts, bun scripts/privacy-scan.ts, bun scripts/file-size-ratchet.ts, and git diff --check. Independent read-only review found no blocker in the source-oracle optimization.
  • Retained prior-head evidence: the four provider files passed 22 tests / 97 assertions on 4d7e2906; native overflow completed 15 tests / 17,971 assertions and all 896 rows with the original 30-second slice deadline. The ownership file passed 40 tests / 6 platform skips / 182 assertions. These results describe those revisions; they are not a new full-suite run on this head.
  • The full local suite is disproportionately expensive on the shared Windows workspace. The relevant subprocess/source-as-data regressions were run explicitly; the existing ci:full label leaves broad Ubuntu coverage to CI. No per-PR macOS/Windows dispatch, production guard relaxation or source-oracle timeout increase is requested.
  • Remaining limitations: a prior broader Windows run reached the unchanged 900-second suite cap, with four builtin-overflow timeouts and an incomplete count-tokens lane. SSE cold-start timing and native integration-ON/live-provider acceptance remain outside this result.

Current status: Published ec0c0b3124cd1b4344df60a1f3b0a348fd7980d6 with the tray-readiness race correction and normal integration of dev a5899038. At this exact head, Cross-platform CI42329154958 completed successfully: all five Ubuntu test shards passed (11 successful jobs, 14 policy skips). The shard1 log confirms the previously failing tray readiness case passed in 1564.78ms. Current-head CodeRabbit128271769129 completed successfully and review5809512654 covered the two changed files; no new inline code finding was posted. Its generic Docstring Coverage advisory remains distinct from those results. The failed 69ce946e CI remains a failure, with its cause and regression evidence recorded above; older successful CI is not presented as this head's result. Maintainer acceptance, full native-platform and installed-app/live-provider acceptance remain separate.

The changes revise test guidance, share source scans and spend-home leases, and update provider and integration test fixtures. Several tests now await background-work-aware cleanup. The Kiro quota test uses deterministic account records and checks the returned account labels.

Changes: Test Harness Maintenance

Layer / File(s) Summary
Test inventory and source-contract checks
AGENTS.md, tests/claude-integration/messages-error-contracts.test.ts
Guidance identifies the tracked test inventory read and states that privacy:scan reads devlog/. The error-contract tests share a memoized TypeScript source scan for constructor marking and envelope-writer counts.
Spend-home lease lifecycle
tests/helpers/messages-overflow-case.ts, tests/helpers/messages-overflow-differential.ts
The overflow case accepts a spend-home acquisition callback. The differential helper shares a lazily acquired lease across cases and releases it in finally.
Background-work teardown and provider fixtures
tests/helpers/remove-tree.ts, tests/providers/forward-admission-separation.test.ts, tests/providers/kiro/*
A teardown timeout constant supports background-work-aware cleanup. The forward-admission and Kiro tests await cleanup. Kiro fixtures replace account sets and use shared setup and teardown for the management test.
Claude integration test fixtures
tests/claude-integration/claude-529-mapping.test.ts, tests/adapters/anthropic/anthropic-image-retry-e2e.test.ts
The 529 mapping tests share an upstream server and proxy, configure responses per case, and check response headers and request logs. The image-retry tests share scenario setup and check teardown behavior when shutdown or background-work draining fails.
Windows tray PID publication test
tests/windows/windows-tray.test.ts
The Online scenario creates an empty PID file before starting the child. The test polls for PID publication and checks that the file contains the child PID.

Full details: Title check

Explanation

The title "test: stabilize Windows fixture setup and source checks" matches the main thrust of the changeset. The changes reduce fixture setup and teardown races (shared background-work-aware cleanup, bounded async setup, batched Kiro seeding), make the source-usage scan read once with bounded concurrency, and wait for the exact tray probe child PID. The title is specific and concise, uses a conventional prefix, and does not list files. It does not mention the AGENTS.md documentation update, which is minor.

Explanation

Docstring coverage is 50.00% which is insufficient. The required threshold is 80.00%. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff with cyclomatic complexity of at least 2. Documentation-only edits and deletions within surviving functions are included; unchanged diff context and fully deleted functions are excluded. Analyzed 6 functions across 10 files.

The inline child used by "processes that start together on an absent home" exited 1 whenever recordOwnedConfigPath threw CONFIG_OWNERSHIP_LOCK_UNAVAILABLE on a contended first-write lock (CI lidge-jun#8176). Match the sibling childScript retry: bounded 400 attempts, 5 ms backoff, only for that error code; other errors still exit immediately. Barrier, 60 s timeout, manifest assertions and the production 50 ms lock budget are unchanged.

@coderabbitai review

Please review exact HEAD 209dcfb6ccc4a2659360a37aa59a0eeb97af24d0 once. The PR is Ready and current-head CI 42018197167 passed all four Ubuntu shards and common gates.

This test-only follow-up moves six existing platform/root skip predicates from ignored bun:test options objects to test.skipIf. Conditions, callbacks, assertions, deadlines and production guards are unchanged. The full affected file now reports 40 pass / 6 intended Windows skips / 0 fail / 182 assertions in a verified private task TEMP root; shared-writable TEMP correctly remains refused by elevated-uninstall protection. Existing broader Windows startup/builtin/SSE limitations remain documented separately.

Await tracked cleanup, disable irrelevant native Codex synchronization in synthetic provider configs, and seed account sets through one real store mutation. Keep metrics stale rows first after sorting. Separate Kiro server setup with a bounded 10-second hook while API assertions retain the default 5-second limit.

Thank you @luvs01 — the Messages Windows fixture portion of this draft overlapped #8214, which is now on dev. The squash dropped the Co-authored-by line from #8214's description, so the credit is recorded in CREDITS.md (#8219). The rest of this draft (overflow work and concurrent config registration) remains open here.

Please review exact HEAD 0f59b4473bc2077b978c38993461d52748eeb8fa once. Automatic review is skipped while this PR remains Draft for current-head CI.

The branch now incorporates dev fc6997df, preserving the Messages fixes landed in #8214 and leaving nine files in this PR's diff. The new source-oracle change reads each source once with eight bounded asynchronous readers, retaining compact facts and the original expected tables, diagnostics and 5-second deadline. The four-file Windows cohort passed 119 tests / 6 intended skips / 599 assertions; current typecheck, structure, privacy, file-size and diff checks passed. Earlier provider/overflow validation and remaining Windows startup limitations are distinguished in the rewritten description. CI 42198922302 is running; it is not yet claimed as passed.

@coderabbitai review

Please review the one-file follow-up at 5340cb4ebd96c2cce2cf1a6c06ffdc8be74c2e54. The broader Windows changed-mode run exposed claude-529-mapping removing its home while tracked ACL hardening was active. Its cleanup now drains asynchronously, restores environment bindings in finally, and owns proxy/upstream shutdown. Measured setup is separated into a bounded hook, and unrelated Codex synchronization is disabled for this Messages-only fixture. All original response assertions and 15s/15s/5s request deadlines remain. The exact file passed 3 tests / 11 assertions; intermediate failures, the diagnostic and prior-head CI are distinguished in the body. Current-head CI is running and the PR remains Draft.

* feat: configure approval-review reasoning and allow native reviewers

* test: update response source guards for approval review effort

* fix(claude): normalize direct context overflow errors with parity coverage (lidge-jun#8148)

* fix(claude): normalize direct context overflow errors

* test(claude): cover generic overflow parity and document direct errors

Preserve the existing direct-encoder fix and cover four generic error codes across streaming and folded responses.

Verified tree matches local commit 25f1104c7631e713199de631505c1dba01ff49d3.

* test(messages): align generic overflow normalization expectations

* fix(responses): lower ocx envelopes on native v1 compact (lidge-jun#8042) (lidge-jun#8151)

Canonical ChatGPT and official OpenAI native /responses/compact sends
forwarded OpenCodex-owned ocx1:/ocx2: compaction envelopes verbatim, so the
upstream rejected them as invalid_encrypted_content. Only the custom gateway
send lowered them. Run scrubOcxCompactionItems on the non-gateway send as
well, so the envelopes become plain user summaries like on ordinary turns,
while native blobs stay byte-identical for these decoding destinations.

* fix(codex): preserve pre-output hold across safe WS heartbeats (lidge-jun#8188)

* fix(codex): preserve pre-output hold across safe WS heartbeats

* test(codex): cover heartbeat cancellation and sequence bounds

* test(codex): assert the relayed refusal frame reaches the body

The parameterised "relayed in the body" cases only checked the status, so a
regression that dropped the frame would still pass. Assert the event marker and
message, and say in the transport contract that sequence_number is also bounded
to a non-negative safe integer.

* fix(terminal-guard): pass completion summaries that follow tool results (lidge-jun#8154)

* fix(terminal-guard): pass completion summaries that follow tool results

The Anthropic terminal guard read the latest user text and ignored tool
activity after it, so a normal turn (request -> tool calls -> tool
results -> short "done" summary) was classified suspicious_no_tool. The
relay then appended the plan-only nudge and re-asked the model, which
re-ran tools it had already run and repeated the cycle on every client
turn.

Tool calls or results after the latest user message now mark the turn as
already executed; only a renewed plan announcement (PLAN_INTENT_RE) is
still continued.

* fix(terminal-guard): stop the tool-activity pass at a stalled plan announcement

A text-only plan announcement after the last tool activity means the turn
stalled there, so a following completion is continued again, matching
recentTurnHasToolActivity. Pin the boundary for next-step wording: first-person
plans still continue, while a summary that suggests a next step to the user
passes.

* fix(mistral): keep replayed images within each model's per-request cap (lidge-jun#8174)

Mistral rejects requests that carry more images than a model accepts,
counting the whole replayed history: most vision models refuse a ninth
image with HTTP 400, and DeepSeek V4.1 Flash answers an opaque HTTP 503
(code 3800) past 20. A screenshot-heavy session then fails on every turn.

For the first-party Mistral destination, messagesToChatFormat now keeps
the newest image_url parts within the model's cap and replaces older ones
with a text note naming the cap, in the outbound copy only. The cap is the
new modelCapabilities.<id>.mistralMaxImages axis: an operator declaration
over the measured rows on the mistral registry entry, else the documented 8.

* fix(openai-chat): flatten root tool schemas for Claude chat gateways (lidge-jun#8163)

* fix(openai-chat): flatten Claude gateway root tool schemas

Apply the supplied Claude Chat gateway compatibility patch to current dev.
Flatten root oneOf/anyOf/allOf by upstream model id while preserving nested
schemas and literal values. Keep existing Zen and Azure sanitization intact.

Cover root compositions, required fields, wire-model overrides, non-Claude
exclusion, nested schema preservation and input immutability. Register the
new suite in the existing providers layout shard and document the lossy
root normalization contract.

* fix(openai-chat): preserve Claude root reference arguments

Preserve own __proto__ argument names and resolve local root-branch ref
chains with a shared 64-dereference budget per tool schema. Keep nested
schemas and existing Zen/Azure handling unchanged. Preserve the original
composition for cyclic, missing, external, over-budget or nested-composition
references instead of emitting an incomplete flattened argument catalog.

Add regression coverage for local references, safety fallbacks, property
precedence and non-final Claude name segments. Clarify allOf required-field
promotion and reference limits in the public and architecture docs.

* fix(openai-chat): retain unread inline composition arguments

* fix(openai-chat): flatten empty nested property maps

* test(service): make service definition probes portable (lidge-jun#8201)

@coderabbitai review

Please review exact head a22c65e581d49b914813ac7e1599e7304f11aade, which merges dev 7ea41c36 and resolves the ownership-test conflict introduced by the landed #8238/#8239 fixes. The ownership file now matches dev byte-for-byte; the ten remaining PR files match prior reviewed head 5340cb4e byte-for-byte. The six-file Windows fixture cohort passed 64 tests / 303 assertions, with typecheck, structure, privacy, size and diff checks passing. New-head CI is run 42302624648; prior-head results are kept separate in the PR body.

The new cleanup hook can leak fixture state if proxy shutdown rejects. At tests/adapters/anthropic/anthropic-image-retry-e2e.test.ts:30, a rejection from proxy.stop(true) skips upstream shutdown and restoration of OPENCODEX_HOME and the isolated Codex home. The next case can then capture those leaked values as its original environment. Shutdown can reject (src/server/lifecycle.ts:410-427), and a controlled rejecting-stop probe confirmed the remaining cleanup does not run. Please attempt upstream shutdown and restore the environment in finally, keeping any undrained owned trees intact; the cleanup in tests/claude-integration/claude-529-mapping.test.ts:32 shows the intended structure.

Attempt both server stops and restore both environment roots in finally. Preserve undrained trees and propagate failures. Controlled rejecting-stop regression fails before the change; all five file cases pass with 32 assertions on Windows.

Addressed review 5808032886 in 614364fca6a466ea61b42fbaca3a4e0f25c275b9 (tree 6449b209b7e68cb59f3de7ae3e620fe6d83bb01e).

The fixture now attempts upstream shutdown even if proxy shutdown rejects and restores both environment roots plus cooldown state in finally. Captured handles are cleared, failures propagate, and undrained owned trees remain intact. restoreEnvironment() and removeAfterDrain() replace the old combined restore/remove call, matching the existing 529-fixture contract.

A controlled probe using the original cleanup body failed because the upstream stop was skipped. The corrected file passes 5 tests / 0 failures / 32 assertions on native Windows with pinned Bun 1.4.4 and the normal isolation wrapper: two rejecting-stop cases verify exact environment restoration and tree retention, and all three original real-image retry scenarios pass. Typecheck, structure, privacy, file-size, diff and independent source review passed. No production code, deadline or original response assertion changed. New-head CI is pending.

Automatic review is paused for this PR; please review the new one-file delta once: @coderabbitai review

Fixed the CI42324364047 shard1 failure in 86ba0888, then normally merged current dev a5899038; published head is ec0c0b3124cd1b4344df60a1f3b0a348fd7980d6.

The unchanged tray probe test treated file existence as PID readiness and could read the empty create-before-append window. The parent now waits for the exact child PID under the same deadline, reading before checking child exit. The producer's multi-child append contract is preserved. Controlled Online-window RED: 0 pass/1 fail/6 assertions; final merged probe: 1 pass/0 fail/22 assertions across five scenarios. The complete image-retry file also passed (6 tests/40 assertions), as did typecheck2323, structure, privacy, file-size and diff checks. No old failed run was retried, no timeout was raised, and full native-platform/live-provider acceptance is not claimed. Details and retained failure scope are in the PR body.

Maintainer integration decision for head ec0c0b3124cd1b4344df60a1f3b0a348fd7980d6: independent technical review passed with no P0–P2 findings, including verification of the cleanup fix. Exact-head CI passed ci and all five Ubuntu shards; enforce-target and hygiene passed. The local union with dev 508a535634755c357b5d5adbcce1799d4ebcf67d merged cleanly; 107 focused, layout and file-size tests passed, and typecheck passed. Review threads are resolved. I am integrating under the maintainer exception in MAINTAINERS.md.
